It was quiet for a while but the meow sound was what got her attention, she immediately reeled to find the man standing before her with a sliver fur color kitten. Her eyes widened as she grinned from ear to ear, she was instantly up on her feet, taking the kitten out from his arms to her embrace. "He's so cute" Mystique purred, rubbing her cheek against the kitten's soft furs. "And soft, just like a pillow" she giggled.

After she left, Nate picked up the kitten by the scruff. "Sweet, isn't she?" he sneered, then narrowed his eyes and added, "She is a delicacy indeed, but not for you to eat. She is mine, and you better get that through your head." Their stare down dragged on for a long moment until Kitten opened her mouth and let out a wide yawn, totally unimpressed. Nate released her, feeling a bit well..insulted. The kitten sprawled across the pillow and stretched, dismissing him in his own house.

Kit turned to Bienley, a pleading look in his eyes. "No, Kitty. I want us to earn this on our own merit. We should be accepted because we're truly qualified, not because of any connections." Bienley gently shook his head, giving Kit an apologetic smile. "Yeah, you're right. I'm just going crazy waiting." Kit let out a sigh. "Impatient Kitty," Bienley teased, playfully glared at him and pinched Kit's nose, making the latter puff out his cheeks in a pout. The rest of the afternoon stretched out before them as they continued to wait. Ever since they'd finished the recruitment process, each day had been a test of their patience.
