Necromancer Arcane Lineage Novels & Stories

"In Lycanic bloodlines, there are maybe a dozen documented cases in living memory. They are a marker of the old-line magic. Sight-workers. People who can perceive the literal architecture of a spell." "Aldric can perceive magical structures," I whispered. "Aldric has been training you," Kael reminded me. I stood up so fast my chair screeched against the stone and tumbled backward. "No," I snapped. "No. I've seen him weep over my mother's journal. He's been hiding here for eleven years, terrified of the very thing we're fighting. He is not—"

"My voice vehemently opposed your placement within this lineage from the initial moon-turn, but our vanguard possessed no alternative variables back then. Even at this watch, my beast pities Draven for being bound to a stray of your low tier." "Mireya Duskrell, on the other hand—the companion my son has been tracking with increasing frequency—presents an elite lineage worthy of our banner," Nyelle sneered, her scent flaring with pride. "His bloodline may not fully rival the Calder armory, but his mind commands a Moon Scholar Rank from the Shadowpine Lunar Institute. That is a tactical value your unpledged wolf can never challenge." I absorbed the full force of her tribal insult, but my vocal

"Because their solutions are temporary, Aria. A wolf builds a pack fence. A vampire builds a vault. But you are not a prize to be guarded, you are a localized natural disaster. Three distinct, competing magical bloodlines are currently fighting for the same nervous system. Right now, your wolf nature is trying to crush your vampire nature, while your witch nature is drawing power from both to keep you from blowing apart." He reached out, upturning his palms between us. "My lineage is the warlock anchor. In the architecture of the Tribrid, the witch blood acts as the cement. If the cement crumbles, the bricks fall. If my bond is forced, broken, or corrupted before the other three are anchored

Malric’s POV Resorting to my last lycan ability to fight off this damned monster, I activated the double shadow. The same kind of deception the Nightwalker used, creating illusions. But mine came at a cost. Rage. Uncontrollable and blinding. It was an ability exclusive to the Stone lineage. Our last resort in battle. The power surged, and split. I staggered back, reappearing several meters away as the shadow version of me remained trapped in the beast’s tongue, thrashing violently to buy me time.

Two days had gone by, but the questions didn’t relent. I couldn’t scrub the threads from my brain, the sequencing of Thornveil with Umbraen deathwork, the precision of bloodline locks, the intent. This wasn’t raw magic stitched together with scorched fingers. It had been theorized, tested, and rewritten. Iterated. And if the Interregnum had truly attempted to carve a new life from the hollow left by dragons, someone had to have known. Someone with the clearance to those levels of arcane theory. Someone who had been alive long enough to recall what wasn’t cataloged. Professor Dana.

I say like she was merely an object that broke. “Your line is new. We need to establish a strong line of succession to ensure we have stability.” Ezekial states. “Don’t tell me what I need to do.” I growl back. “King Adriel. We’re in a precarious situation. We’ve got attacks all along the human borders…” “Not by Wolves.” I reply. “Some have been rogues.” I shake my head. “Rogues under bewitchment.” I look at Cassandra as I say it. At the Witch.

“He thinks he’s funny .” “He thinks he’s winning,” Adrian says, voice dark. “He’s not.” I sit up, turn to face him. “We destroy them at dawn.” He nods. “Burn them. Melt them. Make sure they can’t hold anyone ever again.” We walk back to the pack circle hand in hand. Lucira meets us, face grim. “The runes are compulsion wards. Designed to dampen hybrid power and strengthen sire bonds.” Adrian’s grip tightens. “So if they get me in one…”

I never expected it to do more. “Why now?” Dagen demands. I meet his eyes finally. “Because if I didn’t… she would’ve killed me. Because you demanded I fucking fight and something, somewhere inside of me snapped and did what you asked!” Silence falls again. Dagen doesn’t look away, but something in his gaze shifts. Not anger. Not disgust. Something more dangerous. Curiosity. Calculation. “Magic like that,” Rael says, choosing his words carefully, “doesn’t just appear. It’s blood-bound. Lineage. Ancestral.”

Knowing that she wouldn’t tell me what was going on, I turned to look at Vlad. “What is he talking about?” “I didn’t realize it until now, but I thought there was something familiar about you. Since I didn’t see your husband, I thought I had the wrong person. In the game, you and your husband are known as legends. You two are the only ones to progress so quickly, without a large group. Everyone calls you two the Black and White Knights of Arcane Realm.” I wanted to laugh at his explanation. Right now, I wished that Luka were here to hear this. It was slightly fitting, as our outfits were rare and looked like a Knight. Returning my attention to Nicole, I could see that she wasn’t pleased abou

He continued reading. As Aelfric studied the book further he found all manner or dark necromantic spell. A ceremony to bring the long dead to life, and one to animate the dead to do one's bidding. He also found spells of torture, of pain, and psychological torment, and one spell which seemed not nearly as evil as the others. A spell to bring a life back from the brink of death. It is the mad, dark, writings of a necromancer, who figured out how to manipulate mortality, including bringing someone back to life, using a fraction of your own life essence, how to animate the dead, and how to perform a liching. This is exactly what I wished for. And Arcus wants me to have this book so that I could
