She added as she face him, now with a smile, “The lycan is sealed by the ancestors... but perhaps this forest is one of its seal. Shall I journey it, old man?” Unbeknowst to him, her journey to the forest is only the beginning of the withering. “I am called Aric. Guardian of the ancient covenants. Keeper of the lineage you descend from.” The clearing fell into stunned silence. Kane felt her breath catch. “My lineage,” she whispered. “You knew my family?” Aric lifted his gaze. “I knew those who carried your blood before you,” he said gently. “And I have come to help you awaken what remains.” Kane felt the Pulse within her respond like a sudden flare of light. That left him in dark trousers and a sleeveless vest open enough to reveal both his collarbones and those sharp, defined abs like some medieval action figure. “Stop staring,” he said dryly. “I wasn’t,” I lied. He gave me that dangerous smirk. “You were.” The grimoire pulsed again on my hip like it could hear us flirting. Alaric tilted his head toward the center circle marked with silver and obsidian chalk. “You’re sure about this?” “I’ve handled lightning.” I stepped forward, squaring my shoulders. “A bit of ancient necromantic energy won’t kill me.” “Actually, it might,” he murmured. “That’s why I’m here.”

“Being part Lycan and part witch the Lycan side enhances the witch’s magic. Making it more potent. Ive been telling you that all your life. What I haven’t told you is that your mother was a High Priestess and a Queen blessed by the Moon Goddess. The coven she was born into cast her and her mother out when they found out she was a hybrid. Her father was one of the original lycans and had certain abilities that were blessed to his family’s bloodline by the Moon Goddess. If they wanted to do a spell for something else too, they would have to be very strong for it to work on us,” father answered from where he was seated in the dark. “Wow,” I muttered. There was so much. I do not know about lycans and I aim to find out and educate myself now that I knew I was one myself.

After receiving a proof that a necromancer was indeed hidden on the Akashia Village, the Maelies gave an order to twenty Light Oracles to kill the whole tribe. These Light Oracles are the personal Army of the Royal Bloodline, consisting of people who can manipulate two to three elements and combine them to make a new element of their own. One Light Oracle's strength is always leveled 10 times more than a normal element user so wiping the Akashians is of no difficulty for them.
