Bits of frogs’ legs, bat wings and eyes of newt were scattered around the floor of the cave. Her lupine eyes, savage and cunning, only came to life when she muttered certain arcane words from a spell. They perched above her hawkish and hooked nose. From it sprang the most preposterous wart. It was at least the size of a saucer. It would have been funny if the scene wasn’t so Stoker-esque.

Callum stopped pestering him from talking to me but Edwin was stubborn and I found it cute. He was simply trying to talk randomly to me. “Which Ball party?” I asked.

She had told him about their scary and terrifying figures and their names. The one who was a tall and had gaunt figure with sunken eyes that glowed like smoldering coals was named Morgrath. Her black robes hung loosely around her skeletal frame, giving her an air of ethereal menace. Morgrath was a master of necromancy, capable of commanding the spirits of the departed to do her bidding. Seraphina had told him was said that she wore jewellery made out of the bones and cursed artifacts, which were remnants of her twisted experiments.

Something that still carries the Church’s coin and the Church’s warrants. He sips his ale slowly, eyes scanning the wall behind the bar where fresh posters have been tacked up. The ink is still damp in places. Raven Winterstar stares back at him from the parchment—child’s face, white hair, sharp blue eyes that seem to follow him even in charcoal and soot. Below the sketch: **NECROMANTRESS. 500 GOLD MARKS. DEAD OR ALIVE.** Garrick sets the tankard down. Wipes foam from his mustache with the back of his hand. He’s seen worse bounties. He’s hunted worse things. But a child who raises the dead… that’s new. That’s interesting.

“You haven’t experienced your first full moon yet. Well, I'm glad to meet you. It's the first time I've seen a Werewolf. We can help each other. I hope you understand what awaits you soon? If not, then I'll tell you. His voice flowed bewitchingly soft, enveloping from all sides, forcing to obey and listen. Vic somehow detachedly perceived what was happening, the necromancer can command only the dead - those whom he himself resurrected, the inhabitants of Reeta should not be subject to him. And he's not dead at all. Vic forced himself to shake himself. But the sorcerer's voice has not ceased to be less bewitching.

It was a realm where uncertainty danced with possibilities, and not all visions were clear or welcome.
