He began to crawl further into the darkness, feeling the path the voice wanted him to follow. As he crawled, a strange feeling invaded his battered body. He felt as if he were near a fire that caused damage without heat. Again, he felt that he must remember something, but he didn't know what. -"Lord of the Necromancers" Her back arched violently as a thousand stars exploded in her broken mind. The scattered debris fell inward, glowing, incandescent. "I am a Necromancer. I am… the Lord of Necromancers." His mouth was not used to uttering sounds and the words came out hesitantly.

But even as I fought, something primal surged inside me—a feral enjoyment in the battle, mixed with a desperate need to end this and take Heather home, safe. “Die!” I snarled internally, tearing through another shadow. Damon’s Lycan let out a furious howl beside me, and together we pushed forward, determined to find the source. Finally, I spotted it—the necromancer. A twisted figure cloaked in shadows, its presence felt like a black hole, pulling all light and hope into its void.

He is greeted as his very creation and façade of an older sister, replies. “As your very wish, master.”

But Varek fought like one possessed, driven by more than loyalty — by prophecy twisted into madness. As they fought, Aria found herself facing Morroth, the necromancer who had raised shadows from the earth in the previous battle. He raised his staff, whispering vile words that made the ground quake. But Aria focused her will, her bond with the Moonstone talisman igniting in her palm. “Your dark arts end tonight,” she growled and drove her blade into the rune at the base of his staff. The weapon shattered in a burst of light, and Morroth screamed as the shadows around him imploded.

The exhaustion from my emotions dragged me away into the darkness easily. I closed my heavy eyes as my subconscious took over. The dark abyss appeared around me. Pure darkness with no escape. I wasn't falling, instead standing on the water but never being wet. I heard the ticking of the clock. Tick, tick, tick. Panic was rising. I had no idea what the ticking was or where it was coming from, but something deep inside me knew it was not good. I felt like it signaled the end. But the end of what was unclear.

The dark necromancer pulled her hands apart then motioned as though she was shaping a black orb then pointed it in Idris's direction. "Noo," My legs began to tremble as I watched.

"He took my life, my identity, and now he's living with my name, my degrees. How can I just let that go?" I gave his back a comforting pat and met his gaze. "In a few days, when the weird end of days rolls in, we'll make him pay." Jim gave a small nod, his skin cooling down, no longer fired by my blood. Right then, I noticed something odd, the weak Haunts that had barely any strength were suddenly frantically feasting on my leftover blood. Their once translucent bodies filled with vigor as they started to circle and swoop around me. "I've got a plan!"

“If he gets caught in the fallout… oh well.” They leaned closer to the circle, shadows pooling around them like dark water. Elara whispered an incantation, her voice low, musical, dangerous: “Korrvak nesh taloum… grahnak velmuirch. Os’hallonn. Drevuuk.” The shadow ink twitched, smoke curling against the salt, forming itself slowly into a shape—impossibly detailed, unnervingly alive. Then it solidified, hollow-eyed and grinning: a raven’s skull, the bones black as obsidian, the eye sockets gleaming with unseen fire.
