He stood on the opposite bank, his arms crossed over his chest, a smug smile playing on his lips. Behind him, two of his men held a struggling Nomad—one of Dylan’s scouts, if I remembered right. The poor guy’s face was bruised and bloodied, his hands tied behind his back, his eyes wide with fear.
Luther’s eyes flicked to Ben, his smile widening. "It's been a long time, hasn’t it Benjamin?"
Ben froze, his body going rigid beside me. I could feel the tension radiating off him, his hands clenched into fists at his sides.
