Feeling my body tremble with both anger and sorrow. "Every one of those poor little guys died.... How could anyone do that? How could anyone treat their own mate like that? What the hell kind of book was that, that there were pictures like that in there? Who would take pictures of them in that condition just to stick them in a damn book?" I asked. "It's an educational book for doctors. They were educational pictures to show doctors what severely neglected omegas in heat looked like." I sat there staring at the book that was laying on the ground for a few moments until we heard a loud thump come from the bedroom where our own sweet little Omega is sleeping.

I didn't want to be alone with him. My attention snapped back to Nicholas when I heard a commotion and disruption. It was then that I noticed the shelves weren't filled with books, but rather brown files. There were so many of them. The bookshelf towered over me, almost twice my height, with numerous compartments housing countless files. I observed as Nicholas plucked a file from one of the compartments and began reading it. I expected him to return it to its place, but to my shock, he flung it to the ground instead.

He didn’t even look up from his newspaper when we walked in, and Dave and I waited to be acknowledged, but after a moment, we realized that would not happen, so we just went on our way.

I flipped through the pages carefully reading through to see if I could see anything but there was nothing. It only said everything I already knew about omegas. I went back to the shelves and checked more books to see if I could see any other thing but nothing came up in any of them. I was upset. I wished there would be something I could find. I kept combing through the shelves and notched one at the far back. Cobwebs covered the whole shelf and it seemed that they didn't clean this side of the library and the books there talked about blood wolves.

I picked up the book and opened the first page, which had been aged. I couldn't tell how long this must have been here. The first page I opened was blank. This prompted me to open the second page; it was practically empty, just like the first. I continued opening until the fifth page because I was counting the number of pages as I flipped
