Does she have to clean the house, cook and do other household chores? Melody's mind was immediately preoccupied with thoughts about the word maid that Mark said. "I'm not good at cooking, but I can do other housework," said Melody innocently. "What do you mean?" asked Mark confused. "You want me to be your maid, right? I can do anything but cook," Melody said while wiping away the remaining tears on her cheeks. "You idiot, you think I'm going to ask you to be my maid?" asked Mark with his eyes wide open.

I looked closely at the paper and when I looked at the back of the paper, there was a number on it. How can I call this number, I don’t have a phone anymore? Well, there’s nothing wrong if I’ll try, right? But how can a maid’s salary be 50k per month? Impossible. I mean, maybe it is possible if the person who’s looking for a maid is rich. I look at the two girls who are just near to me. As I can see, they’re holding the same paper as mine. “Look at this! They’re looking for a maid, the salary is 50k--“

“As my maid, you need to apply the rules and regulations written in this book. You are expected to resume duty by 6:00 am any seconds delayed, you will be penalized for it.” “Note that as my maid, I own you and anything I ask of you should be granted immediately, with no delay. Stealing is highly prohibited. If you are found stealing, you will be prosecuted. You are to serve me my meal at 7:00 am. And last, do not talk when I am talking unless you are asked to.”

************** INT QUEEN NNEKA'S CHAMBER - NIGHT Queen Nneka reclines on a velvet chaise lounge, a crystal goblet filled with amber liquid held tightly in her hand. The chamber, adorned with opulent tapestries and flickering candlelight, echoes her fury and despair. Her eyes, a tempest of anger and heartache, are fixed on the shattered remnants of ancient jugs strewn across the floor. Her loyal maid, Daphne, kneels before her, her body trembling in the presence of the storm brewing within Nneka's heart. She gazes at Daphne, a mix of disdain and curiosity warring within her.

I pick the gown as I carefully examine it; one of the maids enter the room, she helps me to my feet, then carefully dresses me. After dressing me; she helps me back to bed and then excuses herself from the room, I settle into bed and go through my messages. Nek comes back into the room; he sits on the chair beside me, pulls out his laptop without uttering a single word to me. At 3pm; the maid comes in with our meals, and it’s noodles. My face doesn’t hide my excitement as this is the second junk food im having at his house; I glance up at him and he looks rather pleased with himself. “Thank you” I say in between mouthfuls.

She knocked on the massive door, and it slowly swung open, revealing a young maid with short black hair. "Hi, how can I help you?" the maid asked politely. "I'm here to see the young master," Athena replied, prompting the maid to welcome her inside. As she stepped in, Athena was taken aback by the sheer beauty of the interior—a perfect blend of modern aesthetics and luxurious decor. Another maid, an older woman with gracefully graying hair, greeted Athena. "I'm Sana, the head of the maids here," she introduced herself. However, Athena noticed a shift in Sana's demeanor from earlier—a softer, kinder expression replaced the initial sternness.

[Little girl,... I repent for my sin now. I'm so sorry. Don't be mad at me anymore. Please???? meow...meow.. meow...] The raindrops insidiously ram at the roof producing a hammering sound while Nero's soft meowing harmonize perfectly with it making the night too nostalgic. "Stop acting cute Nero. You know me, it's my weakness." [I know right??? And I'm playing my card well. So don't be mad anymore...Please???? Peace be with you... meow...meow..meow..]

"Get them a warm bath, body creams, and fine oil for a massage, and get soap with a floral smell. Furthermore, you will style their hair and get them ready for our masters. Don't be dumber.” The best I can manage is a nod. At every command, the other two maids flee. I slouch into a chair next to me out of exhaustion and not knowing where to start. After a little absence, they return, engross with work. “Betrothed? Awaiting your mate?" I try to engage them in conversation. “yes.” After much hesitation, one speaks. I was raised to respect my body because my family is more conventional. I'm Nikki, she adds, "you?”

Lena stared at the maid, and her eyes lit up; it was the maid from America, which she had pleaded with Nero to bring the girl along. “You…” Lena called excitedly, and the girl stood there shyly; she never expected Lena to be so excited just seeing her. “How are you doing?” Lena asked. “I am fine,, Miss Lena,,” she replied,, and Lena scanned the place. “Will you be the new maid?” The maid nodded, and Nero cleared his throat. He walked out of the wine bar with a glass half filled with wine and also had a cigarette stick in his mouth. “Uhm… I will quickly clean your bedroom.” The maid excused herself and fled immediately after she spotted Nero.
