I felt a twinge of pain, knowing they must be happily tending to their fated mates this very moment. The mate bond is both magical and mysterious, yet mine with Tatum just feels… plastic, unnatural, forced. I have tried to give it a shot, but all this while I have been mated to a damn monster. Neon glared at me, straightening his shirt. "You will not touch Leia. She's my mate," I roared. "A fake mate bond at the cost of my father's blood," Neon snapped back. I had felt something from Urijah’s touch, but this was on a whole new level, and it was something that I definitely didn’t want. Remembering back, I remembered that Luna Rayne had told me that she had two mates because she was like me, born from parents of two different species, and had only chosen one mate, and that was exactly what I was going to do, because there was no way in hell, I was going to be mated with this neanderthal. Easton at that moment looked at me like a puppy that I had just scolded for doing something wrong, but those puppy eyes he was giving me now, weren’t going to work on me. I had made my mind up, and he needed to respect my decision.
