Never His Mate Novels & Stories

Is he with her? I glance at the mark that was on the left side of his neck. It looks like it has faded, but that could just be from years together. Is this why he doesn’t want me? Because his heart already belongs to another? I gulp, not knowing what to say. He tells me, “Mates are nothing but trouble. They betray you and hurt you more than anyone else could. Just tell me your damn name so I can end this for both of us.” He growled out the last sentence, my eyes widen as I stare at him, unsure of how to respond. Should I just give him my name?

My brother in everything but blood. I studied his expression. “Something’s bothering you.” His shoulders dropped slightly. “Is it that obvious?” “You wear your heart on your sleeve.” He rubbed the back of his neck, hesitating. “You already have so much to worry about. I didn’t want to add to it.” “That’s not a good excuse.” He sighed, defeated. “I found my mate.” I blinked in surprise. “That’s amazing.” But he didn’t smile. His eyes dimmed. “She’s dead.”

Everyone stops howling. “ I’m not your mate, I’m….” He cuts me off again with another growl, this time louder than before. “You’re my mate! I finally found you!” Oh! Now I understand, I guess his friend was lost before and maybe I look like her. “Dude listen, I’m not your friend, I might look like her but I’m not her.” I don’t know you, I’m not your friend. He smiles. “Yes, you’re not my friend… you’re my mate!”

Doesn’t know what is about to hit him. Nova starts bouncing on her feet and shaking her hands. “Steady girl,” Juliet teases. “Why the hell am I so nervous?” Nova asks them. “Because you realize your mate has watched you for years throw yourself at other guys,” Terry teases. Juliet and Catherine hit him upside his head. “Had he let me know he was my mate, I wouldn’t have done it,” Nova huffs. “And I did stop once he found his mate." “You have been a perfect friend,” Juliet smiles at her. “But I was more than happy to light all those candles for you, knowing you are off the market does help me feel better.”

I've known him for literally my whole life and not once have I ever seen him pick interest in someone either male or female. He also have never dated anyone even when I tried to hook him up with someone but he said he's keeping himself for his mate which I found ridiculous. Even though alphas has a mate that the goddess has destined for them, it doesn't doesn't mean they can't have fun while waiting to meet their mate. Even though I found his decision awkward but as his friend/beta I have to respect and support him.

“How can I be of help to you today?” “It’s nothing much,” the man began looking about again, and it further confused as to what the hoped to find by doing that. “I just need to know what happened to that hybrid girl,” The frown on his face deepened at the mention of that. His whole demeanor became totally unwelcoming even when he asked, “Are you talking about my mate?” “Of course, she is still your mate and I am much aware of that. But if you look into the protocols about having a mate who is a felon—”

“If you bit someone, would it turn them into a Vampyre?” I think about it for a moment. “Touché.” He laughs softly and shakes his head, suddenly wistful. “This is my mate’s bite.” Mate. The word, again. “Do they have one, too? Your mate.” “Yes, of course.” “Have I met them?” He looks away. “She’s not with us anymore.” “Oh.” I swallow, unsure what to say. I hope it wasn’t one of my people who did it. “I’m sorry. It sounds like mates are a big deal.”

I'm fucking glad she is gone I hope her mate beats her. He scoffed and looked at the machines hooked up to me. I was hooked to heart monitors and they were beeping. "I hate that we can't choose our own mates and we are stuck with destined ones. We tried to get the moon goddess to break our mate bond but she won't. I hope you know I won't be what you want, I won't love you the way everyone wants", he said, watching me. I gave him no reaction cause I heard this all before from him. You love a slut plain and simple dumbass she was fucking others too.

he stared at me and I furrowed my brows. "But what?" "I think it's a good idea. You know you do not have a mate" I frowned. "And who told you that?" "Well, I have never heard you talk about your mate. How do you explain that?" "I have a mate, ok?" "You seem confident about that. Have you seen her?" I nodded. "I have" He blinked. "Yo-you did and you never said anything about it? How could you do that to me? You were the first who knew about my mate. I thought we were friends"
