Conceit & Kindness

Conceit & Kindness

He was also there, judging me as he wanted to say something. But maybe this time I left a conceited man out of words. This time I have snatched the words from his mouth and made me even more lost. I know I am not a proud person, but at this moment all I could feel was the cold wind touching my face that I had defeated him in all my kindness.

His young mate

His young mate

"She is your weakness" "Love is our greatest weakness Kim and I am not weak. I will never be weak nor give my enemies what they want" Behind those high walls he raised was a scared child. No matter how strong and big he has grown, Liam was still that scared little boy who was bullied by others. His enemies were all around looking for his weakness and he was not about to give it to them. That would only be in his death and Liam was not about dying anytime soon. "Falling in love is not wrong. Cameron won't let anything happen to you"

Chosen By The Mafia

You fail once, won’t have a second chance in this life game. So, kill all your weaknesses and fight with strength. I usually don’t have any specific weaknesses but there’s one that I’m afraid of; “Love”, this sole word has it enough power to make a person defenceless, because It’s the most dangerous and hard thing for a man like me,

His Weakness

His Weakness

Or is that just me? Out of breath, I know I’m getting weaker, but I must keep pushing myself on. I can’t give up. Rays of the sun appear via a clearing a few yards away. The spirits are guiding me to a safe place, and I race towards it. I feel relief at the edge of the clearing, like I made it. Ha, the loser is the only one to survive this ordeal. However, the spirits quickly remind me I’m still a loser. I trip over a large log that anyone would have seen if I paid attention instead of gloating in my head.

Worthless to Priceless: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

Worthless to Priceless: The Alpha's Rejected Mate

” A painful sound escaped me before I could stop it. Kaden moved closer to comfort me. I kept reading because if I stopped, I was not sure I would start again. “You come from women who carried power and paid for it. Some hid. Some fought. Some were destroyed because men believed power in a woman must always belong to them or die. If I cannot stay long enough to teach you myself, then learn this first: kindness is not weakness, and fear in a man does not make him right.” My eyes burned. I blinked hard and read the last lines through tears that would not fully fall yet.

Please since this is probably the end of this book just take a week and finish it. you can be always write a sequel. but don’t leave your readers hanging a chapter at a time. I usually follow authors that i read but if you’re doing g this with all your books I will think twice. ps love this story.

This was such an amazingly interesting story. Right up until the end. Did you get tired of writing it? Were you unsure of where else the story was headed? I feel like things were going great and then <BAM!> brick wall. Epilogue… the end. So many loose ends left unanswered. Loved it regardless.

One Night Stand: Alpha Mafia

One Night Stand: Alpha Mafia

However, he seemed different, or maybe he was just trying to appear kind to exploit my vulnerability. "Don't you think it's risky to offer help when you could be a danger yourself?" I responded, signaling to him that I wasn't easily swayed by his gentle words. I had a deep understanding of human nature and the potential threats lurking out there, given the many trials I had endured. Even if someday a genuinely good person were to come into my life, I doubted I could offer them a positive response after enduring a relentless stream of hardships.

I was never Human

I was never Human

She stopped after a second and looked out at our lands with awe. "The thing you and your father tend to forget is that all strength can't be measured by physical prowness alone. Simply because someone can't run fast, or hit hard or decimate an enemy through brute strength, does not make that person any less capable or weak. The very thing people often times underestimate, almost always be the very thing they need. Kwen has lived a hard life. Even without her speaking on much... you can see it in her eyes. She doesn't bend to the will of others, and she refuses anything that goes against her morals and beliefs. She is kind. Strong when she has to be and quick-witted when it's warranted. She o

The Alpha King Is Our Daddy

The Alpha King Is Our Daddy

“The palace must be taught daily what it is for.” Viola nodded, eyes lowered. It pleased me, the deference. It always has. People mistake kindness for goodness. They mistake cruelty for strength. I understand the third thing: precision. The applied force that turns a hinge at exactly the right moment so the door opens to no one else.

Doctor, Please Be My Wife Again

Doctor, Please Be My Wife Again

"Speaking up for someone who probably doesn't deserve it. Not many people like you are left in this world." A small smile appeared on my lips. "But I also don't want anyone taking advantage of your kindness," he continued. "No one is," I replied. "Choosing kindness doesn't make us weak. If anything, it makes us a better version of ourselves." His expression softened just a little as he looked at me. I slowly lifted my hands to his face and gently cupped his cheeks, my thumbs brushing against his neatly trimmed beard. "I don't want you becoming someone who punishes innocent people just because they happened to make a mistake," I said softly.
