CHAPTER 70– THE STRANGER I KNOW LARRY'S POV She quit. Fucking two words. That was it. No explanation. No timeline. Just… absence. And yet, it hit me harder than I expected. Like someone had pulled the floor out from under me, and all I had left was this half-baked teenager asking if I wanted lilies or carnations. “She quit?” I repeated, like maybe if I said it enough times it would sound less ridiculous. “Why would she quit?”

Kiara remembered that Justin had some books in their home called ' The investigator ' . Justin would pass hours reading that book over and over again . She thought about his progress and decided that it wouldn't be a problem even if he took a break cause he was already strong enough .

Julia POV After that conversation with Verne, everything went foggy and I fell into a deep sleep. Lara kept showing up on my dreams telling me to wake up. But I just couldn’t. Leon was with me in my dreams. I felt protected cuddled up to him. His warmth against my skin. His touch giving me goosebumps. Not to mention the sparks. I miss the sparks. I miss his scent. I miss Leon. I know Lara misses him too. She has been unbearable missing him.

He muttered. “You’re spiteful. You ruin people’s lives and you move on to act like it’s nothing. You’re miserable and you want the whole world to know about it. Since he couldn't find me, he then forced me to contact him on my own. How heartless could he be? I let out a breath and wiped my tears. "I'll never apologize! He replied, still coming closer. “It’s for the best, whatever it is you want to say, say it and leave” I answered, and he paused for a moment as we both stood in silence, none of us talking, and it was as if our eyes were communicating, I broke contact, and he walked to the nearby bench, plopping down and crossing his legs. “You know, I never thought you to be a quitter. I saw your resignation letter today”, He started to say, “You quit after a day? That’s unbelievable that the Ava I know would give up her dreams for…?”
