“Everything all right?” I asked, not bothering to mask my suspicion.
Delgado gave a non-committal shrug and motioned us toward a metal table near the back of the warehouse. Three large black duffel bags rested on it, perfectly aligned. “Everything you asked for,” he said, tone clipped. “Scoped rifles. New suppressors. And the upgraded software for your drones.”
Zayn moved first, always the one to assess the weapons. He unzipped the first bag and pulled out a sleek, matte-black sniper rifle with a reverence only a soldier could muster.
