She finally agreed that I could be a part of the car racing game’s organizing team as Mechanical Engineer or team leader, and she would reserve two hours for us to meet her one week from now—it would be the day after the race—to discuss what we wanted to know from her. I focused my attention back to the pearl necklace. As I inspected the pearls further, there were almost faded letters engraved on four pearls at the center that reads: J U N O. _________________________ This chapter happened right after Chapter 26: The Accident (Drey’s P.O.V.) and at the same time with Chapter 27: Realizations (Aris’ P.O.V.).

"She stole it! Everyone saw it. The necklace was in her bag!" All eyes turned to Emma, who remained calm and composed. She addressed the officers, "I request a fingerprint analysis of the necklace. Let's see how I could have stolen something without leaving my fingerprints on it."

The truth had been brought to light, and we could finally face the future with clarity and understanding. Back in the safety of our New York penthouse, we reflected on the transformative nature of our journey. The hidden room had served as a gateway to the mysteries of Alexander's past, leading us on a treacherous yet enlightening path. We had faced danger, battled adversaries, and delved deep into the complexities of truth and deception.

“Oh I get it!” I exclaim after a few minutes of silence passes. I get up from the wooden chair that she helped me sit on when I lost my balance when seeing her face. I start walking around the room , trying my best to make sense of this sudden appearance of her. “This is all a dream…I am still unconscious and having a dream of you…” I earn a sigh from her . “Rose-“ I cut her off. “Or!” I continue. “…or…I am dead. The mysterious woman has handed me back to Alexander and he has killed us all in our sleep , which makes sense as to why I am seeing my dead mother….” I look to the wolf who licks it’s paw , while sitting by my mother’s feet.

Leaning forward, I jerked the book open, "Maybe we can find answers in here." Opening the first page, I scurried my finger down the contents. After a moment of scanning, Lucas pointed at the page, "Look..." Following his finger, my eyes rested on the chapter named 'Healers and Mind-links.' Lucas jumped on the couch, wrapped his arm around my back, and squeezed me into a tight hug, "We found it! We found it!" I choked under his arm and jerked him away, "Why are you being so happy? It's not like we found Delilah. It's just a little clue."

Three nights later, New York was bitingly cold. Mia was holed up in the corner of a cheap motel room, her phone playing the recording. Victor's voice echoed in the small space: "I want her to disappear... just some stupid broad trying to get rich..." Her hands were shaking from rage and despair.

I went up to the third floor of the Mansion and I was amazed because there was a Recreation Room, Leisure Room, Mini-Bar, Library, Gym, Gaming Room, and other rooms. With so many, I don't know what the others are for. But among those... there was one room that caught my attention... the Room at the end of the hallway. I don't know but when I saw that, I immediately felt different. It's like something is pulling me in. So don't blame me, if I was able to step over to the door and turn the lock. Case... the door is locked. And.. I don't have a key. I quickly looked for Joyce. I saw him in the Laundry Area, I immediately asked him for the key to the Room I saw.

He was shivering and stammering at the same time making Xyenth even more confused on what really happened to him. END OF CHAPTER 38

“What’s happening?” I straightened fully and hurried toward them. They’re all gathered around the reading table now. The book I took from the Grand Mistress's office sits open in the center. The same book that supposedly holds answers about the future. “You found it?” Miles asks. “In Kylie's office,” I respond. “What exactly is the problem?” I lean in closer, trying to read the page they are all staring at. I can't see a thing. “What the hell is going on?” The room is too quiet. Jaden shakes his head slowly. “You unlocked the fifth star too soon.”

I sighed deeply. My phone buzzed again, pulling me out of my spiral. I scrolled through what the QR code had revealed, my chest tightening when I saw it. An address. 442 West 34th Street, Chelsea, New York, 10001. My breath caught. Was I supposed to go there? Is that what all of this was about? “No,” I whispered, shaking my head. “Hell no.” I dropped the phone on the nightstand as if it had burned me, pushing myself toward the window instead.
