I looked down at his tiny face, expecting to see nothing but innocence.
But something was wrong.
His eyes… his eyes weren’t normal. They were sharp, glowing with an eerie light. A deep amber, almost golden. My breath caught in my throat.
I touched his small fingers, and in that instant, he grabbed my wrist, his grip stronger than any newborn should have. I felt a strong pain as it shot through my arm, and I gasped.
