I get back in the shower, as the water runs down my body it makes me feel better.

I woke to cold air biting my skin and a pain in my neck like I’d slept wrong for days. My eyelids felt weighted, my mouth dry and tasting of something metallic and wrong. I blinked, forcing my eyes open against the dim light that made my head throb, and the world slowly swam into focus around me.

Brightness. Brightness penetrated into my eyes and forced me to open them when I really didn't want to wake up, I felt like sleeping more. I had to blink several times and rubbed my eyes with the back of my palm before I could see anything clearly. I didn't want to wake up and I wouldn't have woken up if not of the light that poked my eyes like I was being stung by an insect.

My eyes rolled back into their socket while I fought to stay awake. A warm liquid flowed through my ears and soaked my collar.
