Newborns usually struggle to focus but she doesn’t. Then there's the issue of her eyes. She has unusual eyes. They're golden, bright, and intelligent when she looks away from me. As I watch her it's like she's tracking something I can’t see. For a moment I think she's looking at me or the canopy of leaves above me, but i can tell she isn't. She's looking at something else.

he breathed, his voice full of emotion. I gasped for air as Ryan and I stepped further in. The baby was gorgeous. Her complexion was rose-pink and alabaster, and her little fists curled tightly as she wailed again. But it was her eyes that shocked me—violet, shining like amethysts in sunlight. "She's beautiful," I breathed, barely able to speak. Aaron looked at me, his expression torn between pride and terror. "Is she normal?" he asked curiously. The doctor cleared her throat, taking a step forward.

That way I can at least make sure she is safe. I sigh and slip out of the bedroom. It is time to go see my girls. I can hear Blair and Rosie calling through the house. “Upstairs girls!” I yell back. “Come to the nursery.” I go on to the nursery and see Caterina looking at the baby laying in Sunnys arm. Walking over I see her eyes open. Shock washes through me when I see them. Her eyes are blood red. And they are glowing.

You’re telling me that my son bleeding from his eyes is nothing to worry about?” my Mum screams. “It’s not everyday someone bleeds from their bloody eyes!” she continues.

Lindsay pulled Grace so that she would turn around and look at her. Grace complied. Lindsay stroked her cheek tenderly. "We'll do our best for you and your baby. There's no way we would do anything to harm you. You know, we're the happiest people waiting for Kairos. If something does go wrong and the baby is switched, we will make every effort to find Kairos again." Lindsay said with great tenderness. "Regarding the different color of the eyeballs, it usually happens. A baby's eyeball color will always change as it grows. Let's wait until tomorrow to see if the color changes again. I can understand if this is quite a shock for new moms." The doctor explained.

This can't be! The doctor warned me about the possible effects of premature birth. Mom told me I was premature but I'm normal. Now… My baby… My baby's eyes are… "There might be a complication, Lucky." Mom said, making me even more nervous. "Mom…" I sucked my breath and shook my breath. No! I can't let this happen! I looked at mom. "I need to get her checked." "But, darling! You aren't fully healed." I shook my head. "Mom, I can't stay here and do nothing. My daughter's eyes are unusual. I can't just wait here."
