Lisa approached to greet him, her voice pinched to sound more appealing: "I'm so happy to see you here."
Scott didn’t even glance at Lisa, treating her as if she were thin air, and walked straight toward me.
Lisa stood frozen in awkwardness, her expression unnatural. Fuming, she sidled over to another girl and whispered, "If I knew Scott would be here, I wouldn’t have stuck with Justin."
The other girl gasped, staring at the complaining Lisa. "Is Mr. McFarland easy to chase? Us ordinary girls shouldn’t daydream."
Lisa fell silent, her eyes filled with resentment.
