Roman Cool wind drifted through my wolf's black fur as we glided through the woods. Zane's brown wolf was running fast behind me, slowly gaining on me, but he was too slow for Rod and I. Our bodies were one and so were our minds. Rod sped up, leaving Zane's wolf far behind as we reached the edge of the forest which was the finish line. I shifted, grabbing my pants from the branch of a tree, sweat dripping down my neck. "Why don't you ever give others the chance to beat you at anything Rome?" Zane remarked immediately he shifted.

But Zane ran straight through the gate and toward the street and Jeff could hear cars and could see Zane's small body running blindly forward. "ZANE, NO!" Zane didn't stop and didn't look and ran straight into the road. Jeff heard the screech of tires and saw headlights and saw Zane's small body in the middle of the street. "ZANE NOOOO!”

Zane’s POV The drive felt endless. Every second stretched painfully, like time itself was working against me, dragging its feet while my mind raced ahead, already picturing a hundred different outcomes… none of them good enough, none of them fast enough. “Drive faster,” I snapped, my fingers tapping restlessly against my thigh. Nikolas didn’t even look at me. “We’re already pushing it, Zane.” It wasn’t enough. Nothing felt like enough. By the time the car screeched to a halt in front of the clinic, I didn’t wait. The door barely had time to fully open before I was out, slamming it behind me and storming toward the entrance with a single focus driving every step.

"Kael someone’s coming!" she hissed, pushing at his chest even as her body clenched greedily around the inch of him already inside her. He froze, jaw clenched tight, muscles straining with the effort not to thrust forward and bury himself to the hilt. His breathing was ragged, pupils still blown wide with lust. "Fuck… not now," he growled under his breath, forehead dropping to hers.

Zane's hand pushed firmly against the restroom door as he projected loudly, "You girls alright in here?" His feet halted instantly on the white tiled floor, and his breath caught in his throat. Zane felt as though he had been kicked in the chest by a horse.
