I have really enjoyed writing this book and loved every moment of it, but the story is far from over and book two will be coming out soon following Charlie’s quest in finding her hybrid mother and discovering what happens with Alpha Zach as well as what it means to be Queen of the Lycans. Does Charlie find her way back to Max or does she choose Alpha Zach? Will Max stand by his vow? Only time will tell.

Seeing that Charlie was depressed, the sensible Nia sat beside him with a picture book and said, "Papa Charlie, can I tell you a story?" In the past, she often told stories to Papa Charlie or asked Papa Charlie to tell her stories. Papa Charlie would happily agree and cooperate with her every time. This time, although Charlie did not refuse, his interest was lacking. "What's the story?" he asked. "This is a new picture book that I bought." Nia showed him the picture book. "Look, Daddy picked this book for me." Charlie's expression changed slightly, and he said bitterly, "Your Daddy is so kind to you."

Upon getting to her front, he leaned over her desk and whispered into her ear. “ Be prepared. I'm a devil and I will be willing to show you to hell.” He smirked darkly at her and walked over to his seat for the next class. Ellie, Prince Killian's girlfriend, glared daggers at Nicki who simply rolled her eyes. Just when Alpha Prince Killian wanted to take his seat, Nicki spoke up. “ Thank you for the invitation. I'm willing to go to hell with you. I bet it would be fun.” She said aloud for everyone to hear.

“Mr. Paterson, yesterday you turned down my invitation because you had plans with Charlotte Garnett, didn’t you?” Nick did not deny it. “Yes.” “So… you like her?” Lucy pressed. Nick clearly found the question inappropriate, but he answered calmly, “Miss Chancer, I don’t believe I’m obligated to answer that. But Miss Garnett and I are just friends.” Just friends? Lucy did not believe that for a second. What kind of “friends” behaved like that? She immediately said, “You should stay away from Charlotte. She’s not a good person. She’s… the worst kind.”
