Adrian, Gloria, and Mya exchange glances upon hearing his words. Lacey hastily asked, “Did you locate the Nihil Pill and Snowspirin?” Nicholas did not answer, and instead suddenly clutched his chest and coughed up a mouthful of blood. He then collapsed to the ground. Adrian grabbed Nicholas’ arm and pulled him to his feet. Lacey went up to Nicholas and forcefully unbuttoned his top to reveal a deep wound on his chest. It looked like it was caused by sharp claws, and the flesh around the wound was black.

Nick knocked him off him. Nadine wanted to help, but Nick shook his head at her and pointed away from them. Nadine took this as a command to run the hell away, and for once, she decided to listen to Nick without complaining, running away with all her might. Jonathan got up and attacked Nick. Nick clawed at him and immediately retracted his appendage as pain shot from his claws to his brain. Jonathan smiled, tearing the remains of his shirt off to show a breastplate of silver underneath.

There was a scar on his right upper arm and when Nick looked at it closely, he was taken aback. Was he seeing it for real?

This was the spark he needed to ignite his plan and deepen his seduction, turning desire into a weapon. Trina straightened up, brushing her hair back with a light, teasing laugh. “Oh, look at that! I’ve made quite a mess, haven’t I?” she said, her voice playful as she reached for a cloth to wipe her hands. Nickey held the memo tightly, pretending casual composure while his thoughts churned. “It happens. Need a hand with this?” he asked, his eyes tracing her every move, noting every curve and gesture.

Nick says picking up the brittle looking cutters. He walked back to Nick and held them up. “These are not very sharp, but I think we can get them to work.” Nick takes them and tries to open the cutters. He barely got them loose and started to walk back to the truck for some wd-40. He sprayed the cutters and grabbed a knife sharpener. Once the cutters moved freely he started to sharpen the blades.

Lacy joins him, and you can tell from her fighting style she is her father's daughter. I hear a scream from behind me. I turn, and I see a scarred-faced elderly woman running toward me with a syringe in her hand. I grab her writs and snap it. Then I feel a burning stab in my back shoulder right in my Alpha mark. I look over my shoulder, and Nox is about to pull out the knife and stab me again. I toss the old woman to the ground and punch Nox square in the nose. He stumbles back, and his eyes are watering. Someone screamed out. I held Yannick’s fur-covered arms as he continued to raise me above the air. Second by second, I was losing my oxygen supply and that’s when I unconsciously used my own claws to scratch him by the face. Yannick quickly let go out of me and I hit the ground pretty hard. While Yannick was squirming from the scratch, I quickly moved away from him. I thought that was enough to buy me time but apparently, it wasn’t enough.
