A Spark in the Dark Shadow

A Spark in the Dark Shadow

I found a book that seemed nice and pulse-racing, Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts. I took it off the shelf and looked back at Ashton who was now holding Jack in his hands. I went to the till and paid for the book. We then went out of the shop and headed to the car park. When we got to the car park, I got in and took Jack from Ashton to remove him from the cover and place him back on the stand. It was around 5:30 pm so we still had some time before heading home. Ashton read that from my mind and then he went around the car, got in and sat on the seat next to mine.

Dahlia The Female Alpha Of Alpha’s

Taking my place on the sofa, I place my coffee down and open the book. Flipping through pages this isn’t any normal book. It looks like it is Rodrick’s journal. Dates go back over thirty years. I knew this wouldn’t contain anything of interest. When I see a date and blink before I look at it closely. Nightshade is mentioned. So that piques my curiosity.

I loved this book. It is getting hard to decide which one is my favorite, especially when each member of the family has a very unique story. What I love about Becca's books is she put you on an emotional roller-coaster, from love, laughter, betrayal and even sacrifice. Definitely check it out

My Father's Best Friend, My Obsession

My Father's Best Friend, My Obsession

she responded, pulling out her own books from her tote bag. “Exactly. I ain’t that stupid.” I murmured. ‘Or am I?’ Soon, my thoughts wandered. My eyes were on the novel but I just couldn’t pay attention to it. All I could think of was the dream I had about him. ‘You need to come off this, Elena!’ I yelled in my head, putting in all mental strength into focusing on my novel. Then I realized this novel kind of explained the dynamics between Mr. Richard and I. Jericho Barrons, older, enigmatic, and ruthlessly protective, becomes entangled with MacKayla Lane as she’s thrust into a dangerous supernatural world.

A Night with the Billionaire (ENGLISH)

A Night with the Billionaire (ENGLISH)

She also felt numb. She downed the contents of another shot glass. She couldn’t stand what her uncle and aunt had done to her. They treated her like she wasn’t their family! She knew she was making a sacrifice for the company her parents left her, but she just couldn’t stomach marrying Fuentes. After downing several more glasses of alcohol, she stumbled onto the dance floor. Her vision was spinning, but she didn’t care. Her true intention for the night was fading from her mind. Anger and hatred took over, even though she felt she had no tears left. She would drown every moment in the glow of neon lights and the pounding music.

The Billionaire's Forgotten Night

The Billionaire's Forgotten Night

Late at Night Annabelle lay wide awake, glaring at the ceiling like it had all the answers. She sighed deeply, the weight of the day sitting on her chest like a pile of bricks. Starting tomorrow, she wouldn't be heading to the Grand Hayat. Nope. Instead, she'd be stepping into some monster-sized mansion to work for none other than Richard freaking Barton—as his personal maid. What the hell had she gotten herself into?

THE NIGHT SHADOW

THE NIGHT SHADOW

She had already sprinted past the turnoff for her apartment building; leading these unknown killers to her safe house would be suicide. She needed to lose them in the dark, because if she failed to break their line of sight, she would likely end up as a corpse on an autopsy table by morning. The path ahead was pitch black, unlit by any city infrastructure, but her enhanced night vision handled the darkness without issue. Fortunately, she knew these back alleys like the back of her hand. Reaching the absolute end of the concrete maze, the narrow path finally opened up into the wide, brightly lit expanse of the multi-lane highway.

Frequently Asked Questions

In 'Night', the novel delves into its central themes of survival, faith, and the loss of innocence through the harrowing experiences of Elie Wiesel during the Holocaust. The narrative is raw and unflinching, showing how extreme suffering strips away humanity and forces individuals to confront their deepest fears and beliefs. Elie’s struggle with his faith is particularly poignant—he starts as a devout boy but questions God’s existence as he witnesses unimaginable horrors.

The theme of survival is explored through the physical and mental endurance required to live through the camps. Elie’s relationship with his father becomes a lifeline, but even that is tested as they both fight for their lives. The loss of innocence is evident as Elie transforms from a hopeful child into a hardened survivor, haunted by the atrocities he’s seen. The novel doesn’t offer easy answers but forces readers to grapple with the complexities of human nature in the face of evil.
