The moon hung high over Nighthaven, its silver glow casting deep shadows through the dormitory windows. In her bed, Zoe’s breaths slowed, her consciousness drifting as sleep took over. But tonight, there was no quiet darkness; instead, she was drawn into a world alive with silver mist and haunting echoes -a dream, yet much more than a simple dream. This was a vision.

The banquet ended past midnight. Luke sat in the front passenger seat of his Rolls-Royce, pressing his index finger against his temple. He had long, artist's fingers. The glow of the streetlights cast just the right shadow over his face, making his nose bridge more prominent. He looked like a sculpture straight out of a museum. "It's late now. The curfew would already be in effect by the time you return to your dorm."

Julian shook his head before walking over to his father and putting him to sleep with the palm of his hand on the back of his neck. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they noticed that the man had fallen asleep on the bed, and they moved out of that room. "Let's go to the front door and go out. My mother is already asleep. She won't notice us, but move slowly, maybe our bodyguard will notice." He opened the door to his room, but before that he arranged the books shelves. "What about your brother?" Nash asked him. Julain just shook his head. They act like ninjas as soon as they get down the stairs, not thinking about the weight of what they're carrying.

Adam said gently. He was always like that. Adam never once messed with me. "Last night, you came to my room, opened the door, and took off my clothes, and you took off yours. We both enjoyed the night without me knowing that you were Adam. The lights were off so that I couldn't catch your reflection very well. I thought you were Gavin; I couldn't hear your sighs and whispers very well either. I might have. It felt different that night. But I didn't think much of it because, damn it, I enjoyed what you did to me," I said honestly. Adam was silent, and so was I. We faced each other in the room, remembering the sin we had committed.

He wasn’t my type and I was certainly not his. I’d seen him in the gossip pages, and at awards events, with blonde bombshells who looked so perfectly put together, they could have been supermodels. Some of them are supermodels. Interestingly, Niamh is a blonde bombshell with her white-blonde hair and stunning figure. I haven’t cracked any mirrors lately but I can safely say I do not look anything like a supermodel. Not even close. I fall into the category of a mousy girl next door. He knew that times were finally changing, and it seemed he had to get back to the game. "I wonder how Netherndel is faring, it's time I get back" his deep red eyes shone with a dangerous glint as he looked across the darkness, his eyes seemed to bypass the veil between planes for his gaze had a godly presence that came with it.

She fell into a restless sleep and nightmares took her over. Jesse came into the room later that night to find Renee was still sleeping. He had checked on her several times and every time he had, she was tossing and turning. He had heard her whimpering in her sleep several times. He had threatened her earlier, but he didn’t want to force himself back on her. When his anger was taking him over, it felt good to have her struggle, but he liked it better when she was compliant.

Trying to ignore the electricity of his touch and the burning in my back, I eventually drift off to sleep. Tonight it wasn’t dreams that came, instead nightmares plagued me. The same image over and over. The menacing look on Ryan’s face as he killed my parents. “Aria, wake up, it’s a nightmare” His voice was distant, far away. “Aria, wake the fuck up!” The nightmares fade as I wake. Blinking several times as Ryan’s face comes into view, but he startles me. My hands automatically lash out at him, only claws had appeared in place of my fingers.
