The Abandoned Luna's Return

The Abandoned Luna's Return

lenses on the soldiers' helmets explode. "Go!" Hope yelled. I grabbed Silas’s shadow-hand—or rather, the "Signal" of it—and ran for the window. We dived out into the night, landing on the wet grass of a real-world backyard. I looked up at the sky. It wasn't purple or gold. It was a deep, infinite black, dotted with billions of real, uncoded stars. But as I looked at the stars, I saw something that made my heart stop. The stars weren't just stars. They were arranged in a **Grid**.

Conceived under the moon

Conceived under the moon

The night air is filled with a sense of contentment, a perfect end to a day of celebration and laughter. Apollo sits on a log near the fire, Jolene by his side, her hand resting lightly on his arm. The children run through the darkness, their silhouettes illuminated by the bonfire's glow. Above them, the night sky reveals the vastness of the cosmos, with constellations forming intricate patterns. It’s a breathtaking sight, a reminder of the immense beauty of their celestial home.

Twin Alpha Kings Pup Mate

Twin Alpha Kings Pup Mate

Kayden pointed upwards, and my gaze followed his finger to the sky above. The night sky was a canvas of deep black, dotted with countless twinkling stars. The moon, almost full, cast a silver glow that bathed the entire meadow in a soft light. "That's Orion," Jayden whispered in my ear, pointing towards a distinct group of stars. I followed his finger to see the hunter etched against the sky, a celestial artwork that left me awestruck. As we lay there, stargazing, they started pointing out various constellations - the Big Dipper, Cassiopeia, Cygnus. They shared stories of ancient myths associated with these constellations, their voices creating a magical symphony under the twinkling canopy.

Supernova book 1

Supernova book 1

As I lay down on the bed, I felt enveloped in warmth and darkness, and soon I was sound asleep. I woke up to the pitch-black darkness of the night. Checking the time, I saw that it was 1:05 am. Walking over to the window, I opened the curtains and gazed out, searching for the stars. The stars were twinkling above me, and a warm breeze rustled the leaves of the nearby trees. It was the kind of night that made you want to explore. And then I saw it - a glowing object in the distance. It was like a beacon, calling out to me. I couldn't resist. I knew I had to investigate.

Light & Darkness: Book 3

Light & Darkness: Book 3

I felt goose bumps on my skin, after all I was standing there in only my nightgown, with bare feet. In the end, I decided to climb onto the windowsill and then gently down onto the branch, being careful to not to let the fabric of my nightgown get caught on any smaller twig. Then I moved from that branch to those that were already on the other side of the wall. Afer that calmly walking down, I shivered slightly as my bare feet touched the grass lightly dewy by the evening, November rain. My nostrils were immediately hit by the smells of the forest, which were more intense after the rain. It was getting dark already, the moon slowly appeared in the sky, and somewhere deep in the forest the vo

Reckless Hearts

She felt a kinship with Olivia, as if they shared a similar perspective. "I did make a quick stop at the library to pick something up," Ruby explained, tapping the cover of the book she held in her hands. Olivia glanced at the title. "'The Night Sky'?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah, it's a book about constellations, galaxies, and moons. Basically, astronomy," Ruby replied with a smile, patting a hand over the cover of the book.

THE SECRET GAME OF LOVE

THE SECRET GAME OF LOVE

Up in the loft bedroom, the gable windows framed a vast, ink-black sky choked with an ocean of brilliant, unfiltered stars, a constellation map impossible to see through the smog and neon glare of the city. Lukas and Daniel lay side by side on top of the heavy woolen covers, fully dressed in soft layers, staring up at the roof beams. They had long since stopped trying to sleep. Instead, hours had melted away in a seamless, unbroken flow of conversation that drifted from casual memories into the deepest, most hidden chambers of their pasts.

Beneath the Immortal Sky: A Heart Left Burning

Beneath the Immortal Sky: A Heart Left Burning

She found him standing on the bridge at midnight. This was unusual. Yijun went to bed with the consistent practicality of a man who had decided that proper sleep was important to his work and therefore was not optional. Finding him outside at midnight, standing in the dark and looking out at the mountain with the particular stillness that meant his mind was working on something large, was unexpected. She went to stand beside him. She did not ask. The night was very clear. Mountain spring, after the last cold had passed, with the kind of air that had been washed clean and the stars very present above them.

Ashes of the Sky

Ashes of the Sky

They may not like me, but at least when they're near, other students can't kill me. Ahead of me, Rowan, Seyla, and Lyra, all link arms as they giggle in excitement. I slow my pace slightly to keep a distance. I don't want my sour mood to bring down theirs. I glance up at the night sky, and I gasp. I stop walking altogether as I take in the millions of stars lighting the sky. I almost forgot how beautiful the night sky is.

THE NIGHT SHADOW

THE NIGHT SHADOW

She had already sprinted past the turnoff for her apartment building; leading these unknown killers to her safe house would be suicide. She needed to lose them in the dark, because if she failed to break their line of sight, she would likely end up as a corpse on an autopsy table by morning. The path ahead was pitch black, unlit by any city infrastructure, but her enhanced night vision handled the darkness without issue. Fortunately, she knew these back alleys like the back of her hand. Reaching the absolute end of the concrete maze, the narrow path finally opened up into the wide, brightly lit expanse of the multi-lane highway.
