My Dear Nightmare

My Dear Nightmare

I was someone who suffered from nightmares, but paradoxically, the darkness here, was calming. I dragged my feet towards his bed and that’s when I saw the frame on his nightstand, next to a Bible. This man owned a Bible? My curiosity fully took over from this moment. I flipped it open. Maxine Jackson. I frowned a closed it. Who was she? My eyes slid back to the frame and I picked it up. It was a picture of a young woman, probably in her early thirties. She had thick black hair and blue eyes. Alexander’s eyes were a dark grey, but the resemblance was uncanny. This was his mother and that Bible perhaps, was hers.

Being sold To The Highest Bidder

Liora demanded, her voice quivering. The figure's lips curled into a sinister smirk. "You may call me Nocturna. And dear guardians, you're too late." She held up an obsidian mirror, its surface rippling like liquid, revealing distorted visions of Meranthia's landscapes being engulfed in darkness and chaos.

THE ALPHA'S REJECTED MATE

THE ALPHA'S REJECTED MATE

She knew that the Moon Goddess was right—the Nightmare was trying to return. The next day, Elara told Damon about her dream. "The Nightmare is trying to return," she said. Damon's expression grew serious. "We need to stop it." Elara nodded. "We need to find a way to strengthen the barrier that is keeping the Nightmare sealed away." Damon agreed. "Let us talk to Selene." They went to see Selene, who confirmed Elara's dream. "The Nightmare is feeding on the fear and pain of the supernatural beings," she said. "It is growing stronger, and it will soon be able to break free."

The Nightmare

The Nightmare

I hated it. "Do you think that we could get the humans a spell before they leave the blood bank?" I asked as we ate. "Why?" Sammy asked. "My family made a spell a few months ago that saves humans from the Nightmare. If the humans in the blood bank have been here long enough, they may not have a natural immunity to the Nightmare and they could be at risk if they leave the building." I explained. "No shit?" Paul asked and my family all nodded in agreement. "You really found a way to save them?" Stone clarified.

Great book. Well paced, intriguing characters with very solid world building. My one qualm is that there are, at times, too many characters. Often there are a lot of names being thrown around and its hard to tell who's who.

XERRA

XERRA

I could do that easily with my Aryan self. The first one had a whip made from tantora stone; the second had a mace of hard malachite, and the third had… wait, a crystal ball? It was a bit larger than his fist. He threw it up in the air and caught it, playing with it as he was watching me. “Careful with that ball, Xerra. I have a feeling that it isn’t friendly,” Ponpon looked up at me. “It’s just a ball, Ponpon,” I assured him. Then, I saw the third being’s malicious grin.

) (voice echoed. No! I screamed out of bed from the same nightmare, gasping, craving for water. I held onto my cheek and pulled my hair backward. Ciara woke up suddenly in fear, she switched on the light beside her and held onto me. "what is wrong? You tremble, do you need water?" I nodded to her. "I will get you some," she hurried to my bedside to get water, but the jug was empty. "gosh, I'd just go downstairs to get some."

Me, My Husband, and His Boyfriend

Me, My Husband, and His Boyfriend

The appearance of this object made everyone even more curious. “This game is called 'Dare, Drink or Dance,' and I am the creator of the game,” Karl proudly announced while continuing to smile at everyone. “The rules are very simple. This ball in my hand is actually a special ball and is called 'The Ghost Ball.' I will be the first person to hold this ball, but then I will pass it to the person next to me before the person next to me continues to hand the ball to the person next to them. The ball will continue to move from one hand to another until the ghost appears, and the person chosen by the ghost must choose between ‘Dare, Drink, or Dance.’ Can everyone understand the rules?”

SOLD TO THE VOID ALPHA: THE REJECTED HEIRESS

Sora’s voice hissed from the shadows of a sea cave tucked into the cliff face. We scrambled onto a narrow, slippery outcrop of barnacle-encrusted rock. Dante collapsed, his chest heaving, his face so pale he looked like a marble statue in the moonlight. The Tether was pulsing a deep, bruised purple, reacting to the shock of the salt and the cold.

Luna by Contract, Mother in Secret

he shouted, ducking another blow. With a final, unified note, the ward shattered, its energy dissipating in a gust of wind that snuffed their torches. The box lay exposed, its lid carved with runes that pulsed faintly. Aria lunged forward, her hands shaking as she lifted it open. Inside, cradled on a bed of faded velvet, lay a crystalline orb. Its surface swirled with colors—blues, golds, and deep reds—shifting like a storm trapped in glass. “The Orb of Destiny,” she whispered, awe and fear warring in her chest.

FALLEN : The Alpha's Fallen Angel

FALLEN : The Alpha's Fallen Angel

I would have preferred to go to Tasmarei but i couldnt leave without official permissionn. Holding the ball, i whispered, “Oh crystal ball, one who sees everything under the sky, show me that whom my heart desires most.” The ball swirled to reveal Kaerlia smiling amd giggling. My heart warmed at the sight, she was happy. But the ball turned and showed Mobali and Kaerlia kissing and i gasped in horror, the crystal ball slipping out of my hands and to the ground dhattering to pieces. “Aidan! How could you! That was a special and the last Crystal ball in crescent hills, What is wrong with you?” I growled at her, anger syrging through my veins as i stepped out of the lair.
