I watch Devin pull back and drive his dagger into the soft, vulnerable flesh at the joint of her wing. Ītzpāpālōtl shrieks—a high, unholy sound that pierces the sky and vibrates in my bones. Bright red light shoots from her eyes, nose, and mouth as her body collapses. Devin rides her down like a war god, rolling clear as her massive body hits the ground with a thunderous, final thud. Dust and dirt swirl through the air, but it’s more than just a body hitting earth. The moment her body lands, something shifts.

While it’s clumsy and uncoordinated, its movements are still powerful. “I told you not to get in my way, Hezekiah,” Amos growls. It doesn’t seem in any rush to chase after Julia. What game is it playing? Whatever it is, I don’t want to find out. “I won’t let you hurt her.” I stand firm, unwavering beneath its midnight stare. “I will destroy you,” the demon threatens as it stalks forward. “I will devour your very soul.” I parry to the side as it attempts to dart around me, blocking it from pursuing Julia’s retreating form. “You can’t kill somebody who’s already dead,” I snarl.

Why would he talk to a monster? I checked time on my watch and it showed 8:45am. I better wait for Amy and I'll take my leave till afternoon. I badly wanted to relax now. My head is throbbing and my eyes is all red by now I think due to lack of sleep. Ignoring that annoying little freak I walked to the glass and watched the scenery front of me. Every one is busy running here and there. I relaxed a little. After about 5 minutes I turned and saw the devil taking the papers that I worked all night.

Raising both hands, I targeted his chest and sent ice straight towards his heart, but he used fire to melt it before it reached him. "It's my turn now," he said, his eyes shifting from brown to red. He transformed into a devil, sporting two horns on his head, veins crisscrossing his face, and his once-smooth white skin turning dark and hideous. His nose elongated into a pointed shape, and he grew taller than his normal height. Wings sprouted from his back, making him appear part dragon and part human. A crown of fire encircled his head, and he looked terrifying. I knew I was going to fight a devil, but I hadn't expected it to be this horrifying.

My wings burst from my back—huge black wings with blue glowing edges. My eyes turned silver. My nails grew long, sharp like blades. Dark feathers fell from the sky. My Wereraven form—the true form I never wanted to show, finally awakened. The arena exploded with wind and shadow. Berra stumbled back, shouting, “Hold her down! HOLD HER DOWN!” Too late. I pulled on the chains. They snapped like paper. Spirit guards flew backward from the shockwave. The Seven District Alphas backed up in fear. District 4 Alpha whispered, “She… she is a demon bird!”

"You'll regret it for every breath you take in your pathetic life." A devilish cackle erupted from Alessia as she unleashed her pent-up energy. Suddenly, her body contorted and twisted in defiance of natural laws. Her skin stretched, eyes widening with excitement. A manic laugh echoed as her once-pale wings, now a demonic black, burst from her back—enormous appendages casting city-engulfing shadows. But there was more. Her eyes shifted from pale blue to an eerie white. "Showtime," Alessia purred with a sly smile. "Cool wings aren't just your thing!"

And on her back is a paired of witch-like wings. Then she took her whip and stone. "Blink!" Crap called. Then she vanished. "Darkness!" Butt called. Then he vanished within the darkness. Afar from the scene, two incoming devils is flying. A bat and a demon. Then the two reappeared from the marching devils. "Kill!" Both said without life. "Ah!" The tail of the group shouted. Note: the tail is the group where the last few men are marching. "God!" They called.

Demons have wings which resembles the bats while Mara's pair of wings resembles the Ravens. "Mara," Azrael mumbled her name when he gained conciousness and saw her on her demon form. Mara let go of her scythe when it float up to the air with bright blue light.
