*** "Ahhhhhhhhh!" Grace screamed, as she snapped her eyes open, her heart racing as she sat up in bed. "Seriously, not again," she groaned, rubbing her temples. "I thought those nightmares were behind me." She mutters, trying to shake off the remnants of her unsettling dream.

My dreams were plagued with those same creatures again. I would wake up and hear the sounds they were making, the terrible screeching noises. And I would scream in frustration. And scream and scream and scream, until someone finally came running into my bedroom. Jaxton. Of course. Always Jaxton. Even in the nightmare, I never knew it could be so real.

Tears fell down her cheeks. Some of The Nightmares suddenly formed a face on their head. Bulges appeared on their heads. Familiar faces to Astrid appeared in each of The Nightmares' heads. It sounded like bones creaking as The Nightmares tried to bring a face into its head. "No way!" exclaimed Astrid, gasping. She recognized the faces on The Nightmares' head. It was the faces of her friends. The Nightmares hissed while dripping poisonous saliva from its mouth. SKRIIIIIIIIICK!!!!

No one except the man. The lights flickered. Static buzzed in the bulbs. Electricity crackled. The carriage was plunged into darkness, just a split second of impenetrable black that filled my mouth, my nose, my ears, like thick, dank water, choking me, drowning me. When the lights exploded back into life, I saw it. A sheen of silvery skin on the man's cheek, harsh white reflecting off scarred flesh. It was a brief flicker of a bad dream. A touch of a nightmare; there and then gone again so quickly that I had to blink away the haze, but I knew I'd seen it, I'd seen him .

“What the hell was that?” Scott asked as he and Jo turned from the sound the scream had come from and made eye contact with one another. “It was Cass--but I don’t know why she’s screaming,” Jo said. She took another glance at Ryker and saw that he seemed to be recovering from the cuts in his arm and the pain from the Transformation serum. She started heading in the direction that the scream had come from as she asked both Cass and Zane, “What’s going on?” over the IAC.

Amara shrieked in fear, she woke up terrified from the nightmare, her body drenched in sweat. Her heart racing and her hands trembling as she tried to catch her breath, the memory of the terrifying images still fresh in her mind. She didn't understand what she exactly saw a nightmare or twisted fragment of her lost memories. It all seemed too real to be called a mere nightmare. Reality blurred with the remnants of the nightmare, leaving her disoriented and unsure of her surroundings. Anxiety coursed through her veins, a relentless tide threatening to overwhelm her fragile sense of composure. She longed for the comforting embrace of Rhys.

It's all real; he's here, a reality that sends chills down my spine. He reaches out to my hand, which is placed over the bed. My heart races with conflicted emotions sparking within me. Anger seeped through, and I screamed, "Don't you dare touch me!" He paused, cold eyes locking onto mine, amusement playing in his dark gaze. His lips curled up at the corner, a sinister expression that sent a shiver down my spine. "Mate," Sasha's voice echoed in my head, a whisper escaping my lips as my strength drained away. "Please let me go," I pleaded, desperate for an escape from this chilling reality.

A scream so strong it shacks my whole body rips from my throat then silence} “AHHHHHHH” I scream rising from my sleeping state just as the door fly’s open and Carter rushes into the room half shifted. With out thinking I jump off the bed and fling myself into his arms, shaking as I sob from the realistic nightmare. “Why are you covered in blood” he asks as he pulls away from me slightly

Not the kind of scream that comes from terror, but the kind that claws its way out of you when your mind decides to betray you, when it tortures you with a memory you want to bury but can't. The kind of scream that makes you feel small, helpless, and betrayed by your own body. People call it a nightmare, as if giving it a name somehow makes it poetic. But there's nothing poetic about it. Eventually, her screams quietened down, I didn't move, didn't dare acknowledge it. I pretended to sleep until I finally drifted off for real.
