Marcus's eyes narrowed as he grabbed the phone from the table. "Don't say a word," he threatened, his voice low and dangerous. “I might change my mind about everything. Do you want that?” Nina nodded, her heart pounding as Marcus answered the call. He put the phone on speaker. "Hello, Nina? Are you there?" It was her mother's voice, filled with concern. Marcus remained silent, with a cruel smile playing on his lips. "Mom," Nina said, trying to keep her voice steady. "I'm here." She couldn't bear to hear the worried voice of her mother and remained silent.

My body felt heavy, and I fell besides the phone. The video on the phone played again and again. I heard the screams of the girl again and again, followed by Raven Blackwood’s indifferent and ice cold voice. He didn’t sound humane as he talked. He didn’t look like a human the way he act. Instead, his drop dead voice, and blood cold eyes made him look like a devil on the hunt. The time passed slowly, the people before my eyes already looked too blurred. My mind played the scene before my eyes again and again. Even if I tried to fight it, fight my brain, it remained the same.

I said. "She didn't disappear," Nina said. "She just went quiet for a while." I closed my eyes. "She's pretty loud now," I said. "She is," Nina said. "She is absolutely, magnificently, entirely loud. And I have never been so glad of anything."

“What exactly have you changed from her?” “From everything,” I said firmly, holding her gaze. “I’m no longer that person. I’m no longer that Ethan who does whatever his mom wants. I’m no longer that Ethan who lets others decide how things in his life should be done.” I let out a cracked laugh, running my hand through my hair again. “And I’m definitely no longer a Blackwood.”

What has gotten into her? She was being weird and that scared him. “Relax, I won't hurt you,” she said bubbly, her voice laced with laughter and delight. Not wanting this to go any further, Mr. Blackwood grabbed her and flipped her around, forcing her to lie on her back.

Greene muttered, “Fine. Let it be on record…. Katherina Blackwood is replaced by Vivian Ashcroft, effective immediately.” A low murmur swept through the board members. Some looked relieved; others looked uneasy. Vivian stood, smoothing her blazer and offering a faint, confident smile. “Thank you, gentlemen. I assure you, you won’t regret this decision.” She stepped closer to the table, her tone firm and composed. “Good morning, everyone. I know some of you may doubt me, but I didn’t come here to play politics. I came to restore order to make sure Blackwood Industries runs clean, stable, and free of scandal.”

Suddenly a voice startled both of them “Alright, Mina. That’s enough.”The voice belonged to Eli, who was still driving Mina turned to face him“You always speak at the wrong time” “And you are always causing chaos at the wrong time,” Eli replied calmly. Then he looked at Aurora. “Mrs. Blackwood is pregnant, she's not a milkshake. Please handle her with care.” Aurora covered her face with one hand. Mina scoffed loudly. “She’s pregnant, not made of glass.”

Elena's POV But Nina, rolling her eyes, cut in sharply. “Your daughter-in-law, Dad.” My breath caught. The words hung in the air like a heavy weight, echoing against the white walls and beeping monitors. For a heartbeat, no one moved. Not Rowan. Not me. Not even the machines that seemed to hum just a little quieter, as though waiting for someone to breathe again. Then, slowly, Mr. Blackwood’s eyes widened. I open the front door to see half the town is yelling. ‘What is the problem?’ I yell. ‘There she is, the witch!’ people yell, pointing at Nina behind me. ‘This witch will soon be your Luna. So be careful what you speak!’ ‘We will never accept a witch as our Luna. She doesn’t even have a wolf!’ Another person yells. I smile at Nina to shift. She immediately morphs into her wolf, and everyone gasps at her unique and beautiful black wolf with the white star.
