Cold glints bounced off their surface, making for a terrifying entrance, but little else happened, as Phantomknife never got to hit Javier with them. He felt a sharp pinch on his wrist and saw Javier’s silhouette get blurry. The next time his eyes focused, his shiny blades had changed hands. Javier was the one aiming the pointy bits at him now.

Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. To my shock, the passenger door opened and a girl came out. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

The blade moved to Jade’s throat. “Blaire, that’s enough,” I warned, standing to my feet. She didn’t stop. The knife pressed closer to Jade’s neck, and I saw it—just a thin, clean line of blood trailing from where the blade met her skin. “I’ll make it quick,” Blaire said softly. “Almost painless.”

In her hand is a handgun aimed at her. “Drop your weapon.” She demanded. Jade steps back and tosses the dagger she’s holding. She didn’t shoot her yet because she knows anyway that Jade is as good as dead. Her members are all eliminated. She’s just enjoying the surge of power brimming inside her in her moment of victory.

“How the hell are you able to command my men?” “They’re weak, that’s how.” I smirk while twirling the dagger in my hand. It’s quite beautiful, really. The handle is filled with rare jewels of all colours. The silver blade is laced with the finest jade around, something Lian cannot come into contact with; if she does, it will weaken her significantly. The silver can’t hurt me here; I have no wolf, so the rules don’t apply to me. Blood sprayed, I collapsed to the ground. What surprised me the most was that Jade didn't even bat an eye at me instead she glared at me, lips curled in defiance despite the pain I felt.
