After two seconds I get down on my stomach and army crawl backward so my feet will reach the small basement window first. I duck my head and push myself back on the dirty ground. My stomach scrapes the ground on something sharp due to the lack of space, a stinging pain erupts, and with that comes a clattering of my teeth. I clench my jaw and kick the window, it doesn't budge.
