No Nut November month started on a busy note as more students crammed into the library for studying sessions. The reading program for elementary students meant more people were borrowing books they usually didn’t read to collect stars on their reading cards to exchange some prizes decided for the school. Mary sighed. It was a busy week.

Knox grinned. “Hannah.” Nora said quietly as Knox sat down next to her. “Your medical person is on the way down there now.” Knox said, picking up a fork. “So explain to me this hunter wolf thing.” Knox said, picking up a green bean and placing it in his mouth. Nora looked down at her plate. It made her stomach growl. Green beans, mash potatoes, and steak. She looked hard at it. Knox reached over and stabbed a green bean with his fork off of Nora’s plate. He picked it up and stuck it in his mouth.

I followed him with my assistant, and his men was left to scatter around. By the time we got to his office, his breakfast was well served on his table. He was right, I would disapprove, but that didn't change the way his voice was an octave higher than normal and how he was staring at me without blinking as if he were willing me to accept that as his answer and move on.

He took a bite and savored the sweet, rich flavor, his face breaking into a happy grin. Chocolate was undoubtedly one of his favorite treats. Between mouthfuls, Noah asked, "Does this chocolate have nuts in it?" His concern about allergies was evident in his tone.

“Come out to breakfast, for Christ’s sakes! It’s 11am. I’m hungry!” Fredrick and Avery laughed cheerfully, at Noah’s dramatic reaction. “Let’s go…” Fredrick said, leading her out of the room. As they went down the stairs, Fredrick could hear Noah’s voice at the dining table, “I’m scarred!” “No, you’re not!” Fredrick exclaimed from upstairs. “You have eleven more days, by the way.” “Aaaaarghhhh!!!” Noah groaned. “It’s winter, I couldn’t possibly find anyone right now. The streets is dry!”
