Clive messaged me almost immediately. [What do you mean?] A breakup, obviously. I didn't bother explaining. I blocked every way he could contact me and left that 12-person group chat as well. When I looked up again, I had just arrived outside the apartment complex we had rented off campus together. Clive didn't come back that night. He was probably continuing whatever Danielle and he had been doing before I interrupted them. Thinking that, I started packing. While sorting through my things, I came across a Polaroid photo.

The emotions flooded him with overwhelming loneness when he noticed the car leaving and distant shouts running towards him. He could only see the last four numbers, 2321, amid gust and people running around him. His eyes drowsed themselves and his breath fleet away slowly as he heard people rustling around him. His limbs lay spread, with no strength to lift them or cry for help. He let a long sigh, which mixed with his remaining air inside his chest. He felt his lungs clenching with every breath and as if someone was draining his remaining life, which he doubted whether there was any. Eyes closed, they before he commanded them to, with no sense of his surrounding and apparently nothing.

Yuri exclaimed. "You're so cool about this" Yuri noted. "Am I supposed to be tensed? The kiss happened, I don't regret it but everyone makes it look like a big deal" Oliver said leaning on his club. Yuri was about to swing his club. "Usually you'd be by Ayana's side apologizing, begging for forgiveness" he swung his club. "But here you are playing golf, blaming me and...and I'm surprised you were able to keep the fact you were married to Claire away from the media."

Not anyone. Only me.

During the months after I left, I had long since gotten used to life without Adrian. I had carried this suitcase up and down on my own the whole time. I truly did not need anyone's help. Adrian waited downstairs alone. Before going out, I specially told my parents, "I'll be back soon and eat dinner with you." When I went downstairs and walked outside, Adrian followed silently behind me. Our small town didn't even have an airport, so naturally there were no upscale cafes either. We found a small nearby park with few people. I found a quiet corner and turned to look at him.

"But it's true." "Don't be dumb. You're not the only one who goes to the lunch bar." With his final statement he left the crowd of students. Now that he had left, so did the watching students. Who glared and shook their heads at her as they passed by. All four girls were gone, leaving her standing alone.

No one was talking. Oh my God, is this...?

Anything. Nothing.

Not to anyone. Not ever.

Beyond the screen, in a prison yard during recreational time, an unshaven man dropped to his knees and wept uncontrollably. Some people lost love, and others lost their dignity. As for me, all I did was ensure they received the ending they deserved.
