Ella let out a frustrated shriek making her fist into a ball. "Everyone is leaving me. No one loves me. No one understands me. No one wants me. Am I really this bad that everyone is just leaving my side." She broke down and fell to her knees. She screamed in agony between her cries. Tears were streaming down her eyes and her heart was burning with unbearable pain.

Mother, I held onto those nights for so long, only to find you had forgotten them long ago. Perhaps they had never seen parents so cold-blooded; the livestream chat was flooded with nothing but sympathy for me.

I couldn’t tell if it was my heart or my body that hurt, but I couldn’t take it anymore. My vision darkened, and my eyes rolled back.

His head tilted slightly upward, eyes fixed on the ceiling as if searching for answers written somewhere above him. Or maybe… Avoiding looking at me. “You know…” I shifted closer, my voice softer now, careful, “you can share with me.” No response. Only silence. Long. Stretching. And just when I thought he wouldn’t speak— “I am unable to love anyone.” His voice. Low. Rough. “You don’t have to say anything. Or feel anything back.” I gave a sad smile. “You’re a good person, Minjae. But I’m sorry… I can’t like anyone. I’ve never felt anything for anyone… except Zay... ” I stopped myself, but it was too late. His eyes darkened slightly. “I mean… love is a curse for me.
