No Renewal: My Contract Husband Novels & Stories

“I……” “Who do you think you are to make decisions for me? Ohhh, because we’re married by legacy? Do you think you are my real wife? My dear, don’t forget our marriage is just a contract. You have no right to decide in this. You should just smile at my grandpa, let him believe we are married for three years, collect your money, and leave after three years,” he snapped, taking a step closer. “We agreed—just a contract marriage. Private. Nothing real. And now you are thinking of making it real. Don’t you understand that you’ve just breached our contract?” I opened my mouth to defend myself, but he didn’t give me a chance. His dark eyes bored into mine as he continued.

’ He tells me. ’Okay, so if I sign then I officially and legally become your wife?’ I ask, still not getting the concept of everything. ’Correct’ He answers. I look through the papers and find out that the contract last for five years, just as my mum said and it also states that if after the five years, we both want to continue, then we can go ahead to renew it. I know I can still go to school as stated in the contract but Zavier is known to be very cold, dominant and a very indifferent man.

“No.” Hell no. I’m not rethinking anything. Because for the first time since waking up a year in the past, I feel something close to relief. I don’t feel alone anymore. I don't know this stranger. But I might as well know him now if he’s really going to help me. He sits across from me, stretching one arm along the back of the sofa. “So,” he says, “let’s talk about our marriage.” My pulse quickens again. “This is strictly a contract,” I say quickly. “One year. We play the roles. Nothing more.”

“This thing we have going between us. What if we made it real?” His question shot me up into a sitting position, my pulse spiking as I looked at him as though he had lost his head. “What?” Theon sat up as well, much calmer than I was “We are already married, and the contract doesn’t have an expiration date or any clause about divorce in the contract we signed. What if we just forgot that the contract existed and made it real?” “I don’t need to ask. You’ve lost your mind” I breathed out.

And he was trying to keep me on a leash—right up to the very last second. But he had no idea who he was dealing with now. I stood frozen in my kitchen, the buzz of the fridge humming like background noise to the rage building up inside me. That phone call didn’t just ruin my mood. It lit a fire. I grabbed the envelope from my bag and stormed into the bedroom. I yanked the contract out and flipped through the pages, my fingers trembling. "Page six, bottom paragraph," I muttered. There it was. Clause 14C. “Both parties agree to remain under the same roof until the expiration of the marriage agreement, unless mutual consent is signed and documented. Breach of this condition may result in financ

I said coldly, turning away. “How dare you renew the marriage contract with Adrian without my permission?!” He yelled, and I froze. Slowly, I turned back to face him. “What?” “Yes!” he snapped. “Your marriage was supposed to end in three years!” The words hit like a physical blow, and my balance wavered. Three years? “Was there…” I started, barely breathing. “Yes! The contract duration was three years!” He confirmed before I even finished my question. My ears rang. Three years?

Would you want to hear that your marriage might end with the contract? I slapped my mouth gently. Of course, I didn't want this marriage to end. God help me, I started with a contract, but there was never a time I thought about it. Okay, maybe the first few weeks, but after that, the thought of an expiration date to this profound happiness felt absurd, so it stopped crossing my mind. He chuckled low, the kind of sound that curled through the phone and lodged itself deep in my chest. “You think my first ever marriage would be one that ends in a year?” He clicked his tongue. “If I wanted a Contract Marriage, I would have done that a thousand times already.”

“What?..” “I don't want to remember the number of days remaining” I mumbled, rubbing the ring on my finger. “But he said he was going to consider renewing the contract, you still have time,” she reminded. I sighed. “What if he doesn't?.. I'm just going to miss things a lot. I guess we shouldn't have displayed so much affection when it's even just a contract" I sighed, sitting on the bed and coming face-to-face with the phone screen. “Oh please stop trying to ruin the mood. Forget any contract, for now, you're Levi's wife!!” she giggled and I was forced to smile.

"If you had someone steady in your life, we would work out the situation. But strangers are too dangerous. I can guarantee Valerie can keep a secret. She smiled. His heart stopped, paused and then went on beating. Fascinated, he waited for her next words. "No way baby," He fought for concentration ad her refusal slipped from that sexy mouth. "Pardon" "No sex for me, then no sex for you too. I don't care if Diana is a stripper or the love of your life, if am having no fun neither will you. Alex completely defeated and in no mood to argue with her agreed. She looked at him and spoke in a business manner, "I know the contract does not state our new agreement. Do you give me your word that you w
