Nikko was obviously not dumb by any means, but I just imagined wolf shifters to be more physically inclined than mentally. Then at the end of the path was a giant house that basically looked like a mansion. It had multiple stories and windows and doors plastered everywhere. It was even a gorgeous white, which I would never expect for a building in the woods on a mountain. The process to keep it that stark white must be a long one. "That's the packhouse," Nikko pointed out the obvious. "That's where I live." "Wow," I said in awe. "It's amazing…Could you show me inside?"

''Let's go out on a date, just you and me this weekend. What do you think?" Nico had asked me earlier this week when we were having ice cream in his dorm. Alex had been out working on his paper with one of his professors and Nico and I had the whole place to ourselves. The dorms of Heldon were designed like every typical two bedroom house. No wonder it was a school for the rich. Nico however acted regular and down to earth that I tend to forget that he was wealthy and that was one of the reasons that I liked him so much.

Noah chose the one next to Micha’s, while Nate had chosen the smallest one. I tapped Noah’s doorframe and stepped inside. “If you shift the desk, I can get proper beds, nightstands, dressers… whatever you need.” He turned from the closet and met my eyes. “The frames here are too small for us. We’ll all probably need new ones.” “If you can just clear the heavy pieces to the basement, I’ll handle the rest.” His smile was slow and paternal. “We’ll do that, but first… we need to talk.”

There was one major residence that was flanked on either side by a pair of apartment complexes, each of which had its own covered patio as opposed to there being a huge house that was situated amongst a number of smaller, independent dwellings. In addition, this property had an outdoor pool and games for guests to enjoy.

Nicholas lounging like he was in a luxury estate, not in the cramped kitchen of a single mom with chronic mental exhaustion. “By the way,” I said casually, like it was just a throwaway question, “where exactly are we going to live?” “At my mansion,” he replied, just as casually. Of course. Because there was no way he was about to say a two-bedroom apartment with a leaky AC and neighbors who sing karaoke at two in the morning. I leaned back in my chair. “A mansion.” Nicholas gave a slow nod. “An hour from downtown. Quiet. Safe. It’s got a backyard big enough for your cat and a front driveway that fits thirty cars. But don’t worry. I am only have twenty nine.”

Or maybe she could add lying through her teeth to her resume on Monday. After a short but intense study, he grunted and stepped back. "Enter." Noah's condo was excessively large for just one person. Two bedrooms were through the living room and down a short hallway. The master bedroom was in the opposite direction. She toed off her boots, walked through the foyer and past the ginormous stainless steel kitchen on her left, where something zesty was cooking.

We then managed to wrangle Summer and Noah and drove the five minutes to Nathans house. It's was actually two places joined together with a double driveway and one enormous garden. Noah explained that they, like Summer and me, had been best friends since they were children and had built the houses so that they could be close to each other. Noah led Summer through one door, and Nathan led me in through another. His home was beautiful and not quite what I was expecting, considering he couldn't even make a sandwich. He gave me a choice of either of the spare rooms
