Her bedroom door slammed, the sound echoing through the grand hall. Her room was her sanctuary—pink and lavishly decorated, soft fabrics draping every surface. Plush pillows crowded the bed, a delicate chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a soft glow even in the dim evening. Posters of pop stars and artful nude sketches covered the walls, a blend of girly charm and secret indulgence. On her dresser lay her collection of toys, carefully lined up like instruments of temptation.

“This will be your room.” I stepped inside, and for a moment, I forgot to breathe. The room was… breathtaking. Pale gold wallpaper, a massive bed with carved posts, sheer curtains drifting near tall windows. Everything looked like it had been pulled from a dream or a luxury catalog. “I chose this room because this connects to Nolan’s room,” Alex said, gesturing to a second door. “He’s been prone to night terrors ever since his mother left. You’ll want to keep an ear out. I hope that with your presence it would stop”

Nikolas sighed and glanced at the drowsy twins. “I’ll tell you some other time. I think they’re ready to go to bed,” he pointed out, going to the closet to get his clothes. Brooklyn called Kathy to get their crib into the master bedroom. Kathy called for help and soon the huge crib was placed right beside the king-size bed. “Lunch is ready, Brooklyn. Are you two coming down?” asked Kathy. “We’ll be there in five minutes,” said Brooklyn. After Kathy, Nikolas walked inside from his study room.

Nicholas hauls his brother up, throws him over his shoulder, and takes him inside. Leon's bedroom is minimalist, with two tall, expansive windows that let in the moonlight. There is a desk scattered with paintbrushes, a large table, and a large couch. His brushes, paints, and canvas are all over the room. Nicholas puts him in his bed and covers him. Leon is groaning and mumbling incoherently. But eventually, he falls asleep, his mouth breathing one name, Brooklyn.

“One is for the bed.” Nick’s eyebrows arched again. “Really? Which one?” He could feel her smile against his chest. “The white one is for the bed.” Nick reached over and picked up the white control. “It vibrates the bed?” “Yes . . . and . . .” She trailed off. “And?” he asked with intrigue. “Rotates it,” she admitted. Nick chuckled and placed the remote back on the nightstand. “Does this room have any other . . . amenities I should know about?”

Blake crossed the large foyer, with the polished wood floors, sparkling chandelier overhead, and cream-colored walls, and climbed the stairs, shrugging out of his suit coat as he went. In between the two parts of the upper floor was a corridor with two doors on each side, three bedrooms, and a bathroom was the last door on the left.
