She was in her room getting ready to toss her nighty clothes off to one side of the bed when Daisy appeared. "Don't you know how to knock before you come in?" Nora asked her fairy playfully. "Nope, where I come from we don't have doors or have the time to knock, we just come and tell you what brought us to your home and then disappeared. You've forgotten that I am the Queen." Daisy answered by flipping her hair backwards in a dramatic way. "Whatever, so you really perform the magic that makes you grow taller by night?"

The car slowed down. Nora looked out the window. Her heart stopped. The iron gates. The stone lions. The long winding driveway lined with trees that looked like skeletons in the dark. The Estate. She knew this place. She knew the screams the walls had heard. She knew the basement. "No," she whispered, her hand gripping the door handle. "Not here. Anywhere but here." Lorenzo leaned forward. His face was close now, his voice a low rumble. "Where else would we go?" he asked. "The King is back in his castle. And he brought his Queen home."
