A knock sounds at the door just as I zip my coat, always punctual. I pick up my phone and drop it in the coat pocket, I walk out. Norman stands by the door, hands in the pocket of his short pants, a few buttons of his shirt undone. I don’t blink, I don’t say a thing, I don’t move my legs, I feel rooted to the floor. He looks so fucking, dangerously, tempting handsome. Both the short and shirt are black, his forearms, exposed and ripped in thick bulging veins. Just how hot can a man get at fifty?

The street lamps began to crumble just like they had done the day of the accident, the earth crumbling as the ground quaked. “Seems you could use a little help, little vamparina.” A masculine voice resonated in the air. Vamparina? There he stood, along with my parents, his eyes red, his black dreadlocks running down along his face, his muscles big, merging perfectly with his physique, his perfectly chiseled jawline with a black cloak on. “Blood!” They groaned. “Back to the underworld.” He said as he raised his hands. The air stood still, flame engulfing the creatures in a minute. Groans filled the air as they began to disintegrate into soot, flowing along with the wind.

Anger rose within Blake. Swearing softly, he closed his eyes and fought against the urge to destroy something. “Damn that bitch! What is she up to now with this mad crusade?” “We will find out soon enough. Now, tell me what do you want to do?” Norman asked, plopping down on the couch.

The ring of black raincoats parted. Dominic Moretti stepped into the light. He didn't look like a man who’d just ordered a murder; he looked like a CEO checking a late-night shipment. He buttoned his overcoat, his silhouette swallowing the glare of the searchlights. "Boss," Hugo Sidney grunted, the slide of his shotgun echoing in the dead air. "Want me to erase the glitch?" Dominic raised a gloved hand. Silence followed—absolute and immediate. He stood inches from her, a predator observing a particularly stubborn piece of prey.

' like seriously? 'No, you are not going to force anyone' Jack is just about to pull me when mr. Black's deep upset voice echoes in the hall. Phew! For once, I think I am thankful for Mr. Black's intrusion. At least, this can serve as a compensation for him being a total dick to me earlier this morning. 'In my office mr. Moore' Mr. Black says bossily and then turns back, probably going to his office with an annoyed expression. 'We are not done yet kitten.' Jack says with a victorious grin.

His eyes light up as he sees my scowl, enjoying the effect he has on me. “What do you want, Norman?” Brandon asks his voice tight. But Jace just ignores him. “Shouldn’t you, Captain of the great and mighty ‘Fallen’ Knights,” he places emphasis on the fallen. “Be practicing, trying to defend your ‘legacy?”

I stood immediately, giving Natasha a quick nod. “See you around.” I walked over to Norma, who handed me an ID badge. “Mr. Black is finally settled in his office. He’d like to meet you now. Follow me.” I nodded and followed her down the hall. My heart beat faster with each step. I needed to make a strong first impression. Hopefully, he wouldn’t recognize me.
