Ellie’s P.O.V. The moment I looked up, my heart paused. That man was not old. He wasn’t weak, fragile, or anything like the rumors surrounding Zackary Walton. The young man standing near the door looked handsome in a way that felt illegal. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and dressed in a black shirt with the top buttons undone. And those eyes… Amber! When Emma was done at the palace she went to the hospital to meet Alex before going to the evening meeting at the office. When she arrived at the hospital, she walked into Alex’s ward and found he was trying to have some soup with his bandaged hands. “Emma” Alex glared at her when she noticed she was standing by the door, Emma smiled before walking towards him, she took the spoon from him before filling It with soup and sent it towards his mouth. “Open up” she said and he smiled before respecting her order, he had to admit that she was indeed a kind person but he doesn’t know what she did to offend the organization that made them want to take revenge on her and her loved ones.

She was in her office on the third floor of the building. The last line buzzed obnoxiously and began to blink like the others. She groaned and closed her eyes to escape. "Are you alright?" a voice asked. Emma sat upright in her desk chair, startled. She blinked. Catherine Martin, her secretary, was standing in the doorway, staring at her. "I'm fine" Emma quickly looked down, embarrassed. She busied herself by shuffling the papers all over her desk.
