Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

He knew I was not the Lumira whose medical records he had studied. "Dark magic is not native to this body," he said, placing his cards on the table with deliberate precision. Not playing cards. Research notes, thin and precise, covered in diagrams I couldn't read from this distance. "Necromancy at your level requires a soul that has already crossed the threshold. A soul that has died and returned, carrying the imprint of the grave. The original Lumira never died — not truly. She was murdered. There is a difference." He looked at me, and for the first time, his clinical mask cracked. Not with emotion — with hunger. The hunger of a scholar who had found the anomaly he had been searching for.

The Midnight Sorceress

The Midnight Sorceress

His eyes, too, were dark with driven purpose and malice. He wore a vaguely military outfit of dark purple tunic and leggings. Then Ruslan noticed there were other men in the hall too. They stood stiff like a stone by the walls. They were garbed in flowing grey robes which gave them a clerical air. Yet power and magic seemed to emanate from them in waves so palpable, Ruslan could almost touch it. After one long look at those strange people, he knew he would much rather face the Groundsler. "So," said the man in the purple robe, rubbing the beast's hideous head as he gazed at his captive, "I have heard that my dear daughter is back, is that true?"

Broken Nightmare

Confused, I tried to focus in on his face, but couldn't make anything out in the darkness. Nathan scooped the tattered body from the ground, careful of his delicate arm. I was terrified, but I wanted to know what kind of damage I did. Nathan came out of the tree line, back into the clearing with all the dead bodies. The moon filled the sky with enough light that I could make out every detail on his face. But it wasn't the face of a monster I just fought. It was the face of my loving brother. No. Freaking. Way.

This is a really unique and fun story. It has more action than steam and the confusion that the narrator feels is duplicated in the reader, but with curiosity. Good length, good vocabulary and writing. Totally enjoyable!

Until Death

Until Death

She has a quick reflex, incredible aptitudes, and she has different skills. Even if they managed to outsmart her with their teamwork, they still can't beat a necromancer. I have heard and read about necromancers. They had dark power and could kill without leaving any trace. An example is a white substance she blew at us earlier. Not only that, a necromancer can make you burn alive with just a spell. They can make maggots emerge in your body and make different insects you haven't seen before eating your liver, kidney, intestines, and all your organs from the inside without you knowing. They have unlimited power to the extent that they can poison your blood, food, or anything that belongs to y

Alpha Knight's Obsession

I stretch my hand and my servant quickly wiped the blood out of my fair skin. "Even the touch of your blood is disgusting. Your presence is nothing at all so make sure that you know who are you dealing with. I always knew you had eyes on her but I let that slip away. However, giving her this garbage is a already a sinful act. That woman is mine and if I have to make you remember that I will. " Nico only stared at me, he was not talking. " I am done with him. Do your thing but make sure that he will live. This must serve as his lesson that it is a sin to stand against Lexus Arendelle."

Mirror of the Greykin

Mirror of the Greykin

She could feel it—a gnawing darkness in her veins, an ancient, unrelenting force that was so much more than the gift she had imagined it to be. Her pulse raced, the pulse of the Heart echoing in her chest. It was all-consuming. Her breath came in ragged gasps as the power roared within her, threatening to spill out uncontrollably. She could see the soldiers stumbling, retreating into the shadows, but the flickering images before her—the rebels, Cassian—were starting to fade, blurring as the magic pulled at her, like a deep, black abyss. "Stop!" Cassian’s voice cut through the haze, but it sounded distant, muffled, as if coming from miles away.

The Demon

The Demon

He hid his most valuable artifacts and gave the remaining ones to his friends from the Thieves Guild, asking them to deliver the items to Limdor. Bags of luggage were lying near the necromancer's headboard, and he planned on finding a horse outside the city wall. Maybe it wouldn't be the best, but any would do. He was a good rider and could handle even an unsaddled mount. If your life might one day depend on a skill, you were bound to become an expert. On the night of the fifth day, Rene was rudely awakened by somebody shaking his shoulder. The sleepy necromancer's first thought was I'll kill you, then raise your corpse, then kill you again. And I'll make it painful.

Hunters: The Prequel

The rest of the story was irrelevant at this juncture. “The Necromancer class is a great class, but it has a fatal flaw. The caster must be capable of seeing all that he controls, or else he loses the ability to control them.” Chief Priest Kaka frowned as he waved his hand, summoning a gust of wind that cleared the dust before him. On his hand, one of his many rings shone with a green hue, and the wind that Chief Priest Kaka summoned came from it. “Clear the smoke,” Chief Priest Kaka instructed Village Head Samoa, and the latter’s eyes lit up like a lantern. A green glow escaped those dead eyes and pierced through the dust cloud, clearing it all away with a single look!

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

His ultimate goal required an army of zombies that kept growing at an exponential rate, until there were so many that nothing could stand before them. At present, any bodies he reanimated were clumsy, slow moving creatures, but once he fully destroyed the seal, he expected that to change. Long dead corpses would always be slow, but the more recently deceased should be capable of moving almost as fast as living humans, making them far more dangerous. He wished he could have reached this level of success a century ago, before the armies of the world became so mightily armed with modern weapons of destruction. He was still learning back then, though, and he hadn’t had the black waziri to aid h
