An Act of Vengeance

An Act of Vengeance

Yuri was fairly certain that her uncle had probably seen this painting over a hundred times, yet it almost seemed to her like Kenji was seeing it for the first time in his life. “Hati and Skoll are the wolves of Norse mythology,” said Kenji, looking down at Yuri, a small smile tugging at the ends of his lips. “Hati chases the moon, and Skoll chases the sun. Thus, the cycle of night and day is due to those two wolves. And it is also believed that when the sun is devoured, there is a solar eclipse, and when the moon is devoured, there is a lunar eclipse.” “In the early days, people try to scare away the wolves by banging a great number of pots and pans together. Thus, because of their individu

The Alpha and His Contract Luna

The Alpha and His Contract Luna

I wouldn’t have been afraid if she hadn’t mentioned my pack. Looking at her I know she isn’t bluffing. So I nod my head. She releases me before crossing the small hallway. “What do you know about the legend of Fenrir?” she asks us still furious “He is the great wolf in Norse mythology. He is the son of Loki, the trickster god. It was prophesied that he and his siblings would participate in the destruction of the gods. As a result of that prophecy, Odin, turned on Fenrir and chained him to a rock. Fenrir was later able to escape and aligned himself with the forces of chaos thus brought about Ragnarok” one of the guards says.

Rebecca
I don’t review often. This is two books and they are GREAT. Book 2 is short and sweet. Wraps up a couple of loose ends. I love Bash and Ren, they’re just perfect for each other. May and Darren are also great.
Red Dragon
Really good. Great story telling!!! Twist and turns and shock and awe. I had to put it down because I go sooo invisted and I don’t want to know what happened after one part of the book. If I don’t read it, I couldn’t get disappointed. But MAN it’s turned out great.

Each word he signed added to the rich tapestry of Aqualearia's lore, and as the tale unfolded, their connection deepened, and the barriers between them seemed to dissolve. "In the time when the world was still young, there existed a powerful and ancient being known as the giantess Angrboða," Finrir signed with eloquence, his hands forming precise gestures to convey the story. "From her union with the great trickster god Loki, three remarkable children were born."

The Viking's Mate Hunt

The Viking's Mate Hunt

Her cold breath brushed against my cheeks while she whispered, “This will hurt!” Her mouth opened wide, showing rows and rows of knife-sharp canines. Several jaws, piranha, snake, and monster were all I managed to think of before she jolted forward, and they all pierced my skin. Like a chainsaw ripping my skin, knives piercing my flesh, the last thing I felt was her ice-cold tongue brush over my throbbing skin as her jaws bit down even further. -- The Norns were the Norse goddesses of fate, represented by three sisters named Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld. They lived underneath the world tree and wove the tapestry of fate.

Orphic

Orphic

His senses on high alert as he hesitantly leaned over the doorframe to see a tall figure with black hair dancing around in the Kitchen with weird steps. His eyebrows furrowed as he took in the dressing of this supposed churail, she was dressed in a pair of plazo pants and a sweatshirt. She turned around and started screaming upon seeing him. At once he knew this was no churail, only person had a voice this horrible in tht family and that was Zoya. He doubted if her horrible voice had scared the actual jinns away or not. He rolled his eyes but when her screams turned into full blown curses, he took hurried steps to shut her mouth with his hand before she could wake everyone up.

REJECTED MATE

REJECTED MATE

I leaned forward, my brows furrowing, and stared at the screen. Everything we’d learned at the academy had indicated that Fenrir was a wolf, not a shifter. He was the offspring of Loki, the Norse god of mischief, and Angrboda, a giantess also known as the mother of monsters. The only non-animal child they’d had was a daughter called Hel, a goddess who was beautiful down one side of her body but a withered corpse on the other.

Amory’s Mate

Amory’s Mate

Remembering the maps of Yggdrasil, we must be between the last roots of the tree and Niflheim making that Hvergelmir the boiling spring. “Ryeleigh, I am glad you came, we need your help. I am Nidhogg, your people know me as the Chaos Dragon.” He is not written as a good guy in the myths. I wonder if that is the truth that Ratatoskr said changes. Or maybe out of fear others wrote him as the bad guy to manipulate the weak to fear him. “I know what the myths and children's stories say, but I am going to try to trust you, but you need to tell me everything so I can choose to believe you.” I feel I would be naïve to trust everything that has been told to me.

The Game of Heavens and Earth

The Game of Heavens and Earth

“My friends, our journey is long. Let’s save this for another day, would everyone agree?” After a pondering pause, all heads nodded in agreement. “Now, I have a story to tell.” He scooped a blue powder and tossed it into the bonfire. “Once upon a time….” The flame burst again, but this time, fiery images of animals, humans, and landscapes appeared. From the Greek heroes like Perseus and Jason, the adventures of Thor and Loki, and to the African spider god, Anansi, which was our first time hearing it, every story he told was brought to life by the flame.

Yrthos: The Legend of Peace Bringer

Yrthos: The Legend of Peace Bringer

The voices were growing louder and painful, squabbling and baffling. Silence both of you! The deep voice boomed like a clap of thunder. And of a sudden, there come flashes of moments inside Esper's mind: There's fire, seas of fire, rains of fire. Tower crumbling to the ground. She's at the wood. A mysterious being stands from a distance, clothed in all black. Who are you? She asked and got no answer. Instead, the mysterious being drew its sword. Its design is exquisite; the engraved runes on its metal are exotic. Esper stepped back, clasping the fur blanket. She can't move. It seems a bulk of stones piled up on her body. Esper is struggling to recognize the mysterious being who is now approa

Legendary Goddess

Legendary Goddess

Drake asked. "Whoever wears that means she is the Legendary Goddess. There are plenty of necklaces that can identify the legendary goddess. The necklace has a mixture of symbols of two races. It just looks like the necklace that Sophie is wearing. The crescent moon symbolizes the race of vampires. The blue full moon symbolizes the race of wizards. It means that Sophie is half vampire and half wizard. " When the king said that, our eyes almost popped out. S-Sophie is one of the legendary goddesses?!
