I replied to Kayden and which makes him look at me while letting out a sigh. “I have a speculation about it, Margarette and I could feel it. You are not maybe a human and I believe that you can feel it by yourself. There is something wrong with you, Margarette and only you can tell about it,” he said which makes me think about it. Kayden is right. Maybe there is something with me and his speculation is somewhat real. I am not a human and even I had noticed it since the last day. But my parents told me that I am a human being and I regretted that I forgot to ask them about it.

He asked, closing his eyes. Maybe things would make more sense now. Once he had gotten his answer. "I'm not human." Alfie muttered, sounding hesitant. "Didn't see that one coming." Jaden rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. "If you're not human, what are you?" The only reaction he got from Alfie was a shrug. "I-I don't know." That really didn't help. “So you just are something and you don't know?" He raised an eyebrow.

He never liked me and it was only me that was crazy in love with him. My friends are not even mine. It was all an act, an illusion. Which I led myself to believe. Not anymore. I took a deep breath to stop the coming tears. I could not cry a single tear on such a mean person. “ He is an asshole.” a voice said from behind me and I panicked. The owner of the voice was Tristan Erickson. His family is new in town but fairly well known. We don’t run in the same circles but we worked together on one project he is fairly nice.

I asked again, “It’s something you might find very strange.” “I will.” “You won’t run away?” “No.” She answered, “I won’t run away.” Then looked at me and smiled. “Okay then.”I stood up and stepped back from her. I need some space for this. “What if I tell you. I’m not human.” “...” She looked at me like I was joking, “Are you trying to play some prank on me?” Well normal reaction for a human. I snickered, “No,’ll show you.”

An annoying little loophole in our abilities. “Oh good. The inmates are running the asylum,” I deadpan. The man pulls back, no doubt a confused look on his face. “First of all, vampires are not real nor are groups of your kind called covens, and it may have skipped your notice but I’m not human, in fact, I’m far less human than you,” I point out. My skin and eyes should have made that clear, and they are closer to human than I will ever be. They were born human. I wasn’t. “What are you talking about?” one of them asks.

He was a man—or at least something that resembled one. One thing was for sure. He wasn’t human at all.

"Wasn't a human." A wave of silence settled in the room. Leo looked shocked. I was at first when I concluded. But there was no way I was going to let him or anyone see that. The rate of non-humans in the world was starting to increase beyond my imagination. To top it off, there was nothing I could do about it other than to just watch. I had been trying to trace my step, to try and find out where it all went wrong. From what I was told, I was the first non-human to be made—or cursed—a being just like the Vampires we saw in movies but I wasn't one.

He sighs and pulls out his cell and calls our hospital pharmacy placing an order to treat her. "we can't afford this,Gemma sighs, she will flip over another bill. We plan to leave this town anyway",dad glares at me. "son I would like a word with you and Lucas",he growls storming out. I reluctantly follow. "explain now?",he looks ready to throw me. "she is human both are dad never got their wolves and remain human we got so many after us and now we have to protect human mates on top. This is already hard enough ",he sighs.

I head in her direction, fully aware of the ridiculous smile on my face as she traces me head to toe with her own eyes. 'Look all you want, sweetheart. I'm all yours.' I think to myself. I lengthen my strides to get to her quicker when she gets the most adorable, confused look on her face. Does she not smell me? Surely she knows I'm her mate. Maybe she didn't want a mate. I get closer to her and inhale deeper. Then stop in my tracks. She's human. "Ah, fuck!" I mutter.
