Novel 1984 Novels & Stories

"Say what? I reincarnated into a reverse novel." The system's words were like a thunderclap; not daring to believe this was true, the whole person was stunned for five seconds. Marin found a corner to sit, blankly looking at the novel in her hand without saying anything. Trying to calm her nerves, she opened the novel and read the last few chapters she hadn't finished yet. The novel [Love you more than the stars.] has very bloody content. The novel is set in a modern setting with a director's love affair with a secretary.

“Come on. I’ll take you upstairs to rest.” He stood and guided her toward the stairs. Finn and Calvin exchanged a look. Then they followed right after them. God, I wanted to go eavesdrop so badly. Linda, sitting beside me, muttered under her breath, “Slutty bitch.” That jogged my memory. There was a drugging subplot around this part of the story. If I remembered correctly, Linda was the culprit. She had been secretly in love with Calvin for years, but Calvin only had eyes for Nancy. In the original novel, she managed to drug him, but afterward he turned the tables and dosed her ten times worse, leaving her stranded with no help. She ended up with a terrible fate.

Back in the physical world, Novel’s body collapsed beside Kitty, as he coughed up a splash of blood before slipping into complete unconsciousness. Inside his mind, Alexei faced the dark, monstrous shadow of the Myth standing before him. “You can’t use me for your revenge!” Alexei roared, charging the beast with everything he had. “My mate isn't dead! Give me back my body!” With a final, desperate strike, Alexei slammed into the dark entity, and darkness took him completely. _____ One Year Later It was Novel’s university graduation day. She stood near the podium in her cap and gown, a bright smile on her face as she chatted and snapped photos with her classmates, completely oblivious to the f

There was no place for unforgiveness. “Do you think the political mayhem triggered the economic breakdown that resulted in the war?” Napoleon asked. “You better ask Isaac about it. Your brother knew everything even before I told you.” “So, Isaac told you about this? And he never even confided in me.” “Isaac shared his knowledge in chaos theory twice.” “A physics concept paired with world war 3?” “He predicted the New World Order in less than six months, and now it is happening." "My brother thinks about the New World Order. What is Harvard teaching my younger brother? Are they nuts?"

' I walked around the room, touching and looking at all her possessions while counting the time she would spend in the shower. 'One minute.' As I moved around the room, I slipped a sleeping pill into her water. 'Two minutes.' Shit, the water stopped. 'Who showers for only two minutes?' I hurried to the closet, praying that she wouldn't open the door because I would have to kill her. I squinted my eyes, watching as Isabella did some weird dance ritual, told all her posters good night, then drank down the water. It didn't even take long for the pill to start working on her small mind; but she was out snoring.

Suddenly, he felt a strange vibration throughout his body and looked up to see unfamiliar words written on the cave wall. With a burst of light, the words disappeared, and he saw the light shoot up to the moon, surrounded by a shimmering dance of stars. He followed the light until he found himself in the maternity ward of Corer Hospital. The light stopped at Ward 119, and he heard the cry of a newborn baby.

Just past the first turn, she realised there was no house, no village in front of her, only a long stretch of whiteness bordered by snow-powdered hedges without a telltale rise in smoke in the distance. She didn't dare look up again for a long while. Time lost all meaning as she walked onward, her cheeks stinging, then without feeling, as hints of eventide crept in behind the melancholy December sky. It was then that Betty murmured an almost forgotten prayer from her childhood……...a little something to her guardian Angel begging an entree to paradise. ………………………….. She awoke stretching contentedly. Staring up at the unfamiliar ceiling, it took her a few moments to determine where she was, but

“It’s not a depressing book about nuclear war, is it?” “Actually no!” he replied cheerfully. “It involves a third world war, but it’s fought exclusively with conventional weapons, rather than nuclear bombs.” “So regular blown-up bodies, not radioactive bodies,” I said dryly. “Much better.” “Trust me, you won’t be able to put this book down. It’s my comfort novel. I re-read it every year or two.” “Okay, I’m in,” I said. “I’m glad you chose that, because I’ve seen the Hunt for Red October movie, and I didn’t think it was great.”

Chapter Fifteen Dapo was dumb struck, he stood rooted like someone who was struck by lightning, but he was not struck by lightning after all, he was only struck by the beauty who is seducing him by her innocent exercise. It was now that Dapo noticed the office dress that Bisola wore, she was modest in her own way, not too eye catching, not too old skul, everything about her this day seems to perfect on her, that wondered if this was an entirely different Lady from the one he picked up this morning.

"Armani, you? Since when do you love books?" I give him a tight smile. "You might be surprised, Brother." "I certainly would be. Tell me, which book did you both read and bond over? I’m sure Lauren and I would love to read it as well." I hesitate. Damn. I should have seen this coming. My mind scrambles for an answer, but it’s blank. Any title. Any author. Anything. "1984," Rena says smoothly, setting her half-eaten bread down. Her voice is calm, self-assured. "It’s an interesting read, given the current times."
