The Lycan king Forbidden Mate
I pulled out another book, and another, and another.
Then I found it.
The book was larger than the others, bound in dark leather with a silver clasp that was tarnished with age. I opened it, and the first page was a map of the Northern Lands as they had been centuries ago, before the war, before the treaty, and before everything.
I turned the pages, and I read.
The war had lasted fifty years.
Fifty years of blood and fire and death on both sides. Humans had fought Lycans, and Lycans had fought humans, and the land between the territories had become a graveyard where nothing grew and nothing lived.
