After coming out of the shower, Aubrey picked her cellphone because Reina was face timing her. “Hey, I just arrived home safely, how us Grandma?” Reina asked. “That's great, Grandma is fine, I guess she already went to bed,” Aubrey replied. Reina smiled, “Was she waiting for you?” “Is that even a question? Anyway, I just come out of the shower and I plan to continue reading the werewolf novel,” Aubrey informed. “You don't cease to amaze me. We have national exams next week, yet you are busy reading about werewolves? It's all fantasy, sweetheart, do you think they even exist?” Reina asked.

He followed moments later, his body going rigid, his groan deep and resonant as he filled me with his warmth. We lay there for a long time, the sheets tangled around us. He pulled me close, his arm draped over my waist. I closed my eyes, feeling the afterglow of the encounter, the peacefulness settling in. But the anonymous writer's words still echoed in my mind, a reminder of the fire that had been lit. I knew that I would never be the same, that the quiet, shy girl who had read the diary was gone. I was a woman who had discovered her own power, her own desires, against the backdrop of a rainy night in a strange apartment.

I tried to ask hoping they had an answer for me because nothing about the Kingsley boys ever makes sense to me. “oh come on, I’m sure you have read at least one werewolf teen novel in your life” Axel remarked only to be swatted on his arm by his twin to silence him. He wasn’t wrong, obviously I have read a few of those kind of books but they are just made up romance’s for teens to fantasise about. “Yeah but they were just fiction, right?” I spoke my thoughts out loud, the question earning a chuckle from the twins.

Aurora shoved the bag under her big dress, hurried to her room and locked the door. She brought it out and examined it carefully. I start reading the book to pass the time and about twenty minutes later, “Luna, you were right. Austiin and Cyrus followed him home and when he knocked on the door, a blonde girl opened the door and let him in,” Harlan tells me through our connection.

She tried grabbing the glass of water on the table beside her, wincing as she did, "See, can't move." Ryan chuckled, stretching to grab the glass and offering it to her. Aurora silently thanked him as she gulped down the icy water, relishing in the way it cooled her throat. "Thank you," She said after giving him back the glass. Aurora breathed out tiredly, "It sucks you know, being confined to a place every day. I'm always on my feet so this feels weird." Ryan's lips quirked slightly and he shifted closer, "What if I told you there was a way to leave here?"

Aurora's POV I flipped another page of my novel, I was utterly engrossed in the story. The novel was about a single mother, abandoned by her husband and left to fend for her two kids. It had lots of twists that I didn't expect which kept me on the edge of my seat. The warm afternoon sun kissed my skin as I sat on the patio near the outdoor pool, the gentle sound of water lapping against the edges of the pool creating a soothing background noise.
