This is Volume 2, A Dark, Desolate World, where the story continues on where the first volume stopped. Our main character Isuzu goes to South Britain, the British colony in Terra Australis to speak with the person who made her go there in the first place, the General.

The realization of how much shame and nonsense she had tolerated made something inside her crack, not dramatically but it was loud enough to let the dark in. She doesn’t cry after the breakup, She doesn’t beg either instead she dresses up Seeking escape from her own flawed reality. She wanders into a dimly lit jazz bar, hoping for nothing more than a temporary distraction.

That's a big joke, Aurora. I just waved him goodbye and went inside the building. When I entered my unit, I quickly threw myself on the sofa and checked my social media accounts. I suddenly regretted that I opened my account just to see how happy mommy was with her new family. I stared at the post. I would have been the one smiling with her. But I'm here, bitterly smiling at the sight of my mom having the best days of her life that she failed to have when she was with us.

Just give me this one thing. Author Note - Just going to tell you this but this was done for a while now but I have a problem with ending things. I like to keep pushing it off so I don't have to deal with it ending. I feel rather pleased with myself for actually finishing a novel. It wasn't perfect but I felt happy writing it. I may go back to edit through it. Don't know when but I can take my time with it. For all the people who stuck around to read this story, thank you for taking a chance on this story.
