The cover really surprised me because it was only one golden embedded word written on it and that scared the heavens out of me. The cover spelled out, 'DANGER'.

Removing some books from the top, my heart leaped for joy when I saw a book that I actually liked. "Thank you," I said with a smile as I pulled it out and admired the cover. "I'll continue to make use of them all." "What book is that?" Benjamin asked as he leaned in to look at the cover. "It's a fiction novel about romance in the midst of a plague," I answered and before I knew it, I was blabbering away.

Sounds good. Wish I could join you.... Then I get a quick shot of the cover. What on earth's she reading? Tipping back her book to see the jacket, it's a bright splash of cartoon figures against a gentian blue sky. Smiley faced men and women frolic with a dog in front of a kids' classic 'first house drawing': a square box, with a triangle of a roof and a window in each corner. I peer at the blurb on the back.... "A few weeks ago, it was finite element analysis and Fourier series. Now you're reading chick-lit?"

And he had a long nose that looked like a cursive L – L. “Sal Maan Roos Dee. He is a big writer. One of the biggest of all times. This man, see,” revealed my brother, showing the back cover of the book he had in his hands. The passport size photograph of the man on the back cover was exactly like the man I saw in my visions. I AM NOT KIDDING! I mean it! The front cover read: “An Extraordinary Novel” – The New York Review of Books ________________________________________________ MIDNIGHT’S CHILDREN

The bookstore had a new shipment of romance novels. I spent the morning unpacking boxes with Ethan, laughing at the ridiculous cover art. Shirtless men. Women in flowing dresses. Dramatic titles like The Rake's Redemption and Tempted by the Billionaire. "This is basically p**n," Ethan said, holding up a particularly scandalous cover. "Glorious, wonderful, life-affirming p**n," I corrected. He laughed. "You're something else, Lucy."

It’s an old leather-bound book, with a red leather cover and a gold emblem on the front, she turns it to read the spine, “The Parrot and the Hunter. Is this a children’s book or a weird shifter romance novel?” Morpheus laughs, and she sits down and opens it, “Ah, romance novel.” She taps it thoughtfully, “No pictures.” She smiles as Sol flushes and she curls up on the sofa to read, she flips through, “Oh, my apologies, there are pictures.” Sol groans as she takes in the etching of two people clearly fucking each other senseless. “Informative pictures.” Morpheus laughs hard,

Adrian disagreed. "Read this one." "No." Adrian narrowed his eyes. "You didn't even look at the cover." "I don't need to." "You absolutely do." "I absolutely don't." Adrian held the book higher. The cover depicted a handsome knight carrying a wounded prince through a snowstorm. Cassian stared at it for exactly two seconds. Then he looked away. "No." "You judged it." "I assessed it." "You judged it." "It has a glowing sword on the cover." "The sword is symbolic."

Just give me this one thing. Author Note - Just going to tell you this but this was done for a while now but I have a problem with ending things. I like to keep pushing it off so I don't have to deal with it ending. I feel rather pleased with myself for actually finishing a novel. It wasn't perfect but I felt happy writing it. I may go back to edit through it. Don't know when but I can take my time with it. For all the people who stuck around to read this story, thank you for taking a chance on this story. I finally picked a book, my fingers trailing over the cover as I read the title. "The Duke's Heart" was written on the cover in bold, golden letters. I smiled, as I read the short description at the back. I loved romance novels, and this one seemed like it would be right up my alley. I opened the book, feeling the worn pages crackle beneath my fingers. The book seemed old, like it had been read and reread countless times.
