After thorough research on the genre, I wrote an erotic novel myself, with the not-so-much unique name, The rush. I would like to see this baby published one day. Dreaming never killed anyone, except the people in A Nightmare on Elm Street. "All I need is a damn sexy cover for the book" I breathed anxiously and bit my inner lip. It was something I wanted to be done quickly and if possible, with no expense. Money was my constant problem. I was overthinking it and gave myself anxiety for no reason. I would buy a damn photo online and be done with it today! But before everything, I must shower.

"All of them?" "Yes." I carefully unwrapped each box to find hardbound books in them. I laughed out loud, reading the titles. I picked the first one, looking at the erotic cover page where a girl is sitting in a man's lap. He is wearing nothing. "Married to my boss," I read the title. The second one has the hands of a girl, cuffed to the bed, "The Mafia Don's Pet." The other one has a guy with a pack, a body I am so familiar with and the photo I have taken while he was in the gym. "Did you really put this on a book cover?"

Grabbing a large one, I hide the test inside. Praying that my blush isn’t obvious as I giggle nervously I raise the book above my head. “I needed a break and wanted a new book, so I came over here and thought I’d try something different.” “Oh,” he looks at the title. Blinks twice, and then responds, “I’ve heard that one is pretty good.” I take a moment to look up at the book. On the cover is a picture of a woman wearing a dress with a torn bodice locked in a romantic embrace with a handsome centaur. The title implies something regarding the size of his anatomy and I feel myself burning in embarrassment.

Jacob laughed. “I’ll kick your ass too!” I said as I glared at him. “Kris! We have one more surprise for you.” Penny yelled from behind my front desk. “What?” I looked confused. She walked out carrying a massive book. I recognized what it was right away. It’s the type of book that you use for a portfolio. “You got me a new book?” “Kinda.” Penny showed me the cover. It had a Black Moon with two wolves howling. The leather was fresh as I could smell it. Alec took the cover and opened it for me.

It is practically taunting me to open it, it’s waving at me. Moving to the closet, I reach for my clothes that I brought. I was not going back to get my things. I grab my shorts and T-shirt and put them on. The heat here is like back home. I look at the new ink on the inside of my upper arm. Unbreakable written in beautiful script. My new motto. I move and sit on the bed next to the folder, my fingers fidget on my lap. I look at it and reach for it. I carefully open the folder and look at the information.

The leather binding has fancy marks in it and has title imprinted on the front. "That first kiss." Ugh, from just the title you could tell that a teenage girl at the start of her puberty wrote it. I couldn't really tell if Nova's a girl or a boy, he wants to be called a "he" but then writes a full novel about a CEO obsessing over a girl. I don't know why Nova doesn't want to call it a book when it obviously was. Don't let the title fool you, the story slowly turns dark and twisted.

They walked inside to the meeting room and I brought all of them some snacks and water. "Ms. West, we have the final editing and some cover designs for the new book. Maybe you can choose again, we tried to follow your order last time for the cover so.." Jeremy said and I tried to check on the designs. I nodded looking at all of it and I ended up picking the dark blue cover because I think that color suits the most with the book. "After you read the final editing, let us know so we can start produce the book." He said and we started to talk about other things such as translating the book from english to spanish, indonesian and even russian.
