As though the answer I sought was just beyond my reach. The lantern flickered, and I froze. A strange sensation crept over me, like the world was tilting beneath my feet. The room began to blur, the shadows lengthening and shifting. Then, without warning, the library vanished. I was somewhere else. The air was thick with heat and smoke. Newhaven lay before me, but it was a city I barely recognized. Fires raged unchecked, consuming the Human Quarters and the surrounding walls. Wolves and humans fought side by side in the streets below, their faces grim with determination, but their efforts seemed futile against the chaos.

For the first time, Cathedra had someone who didn't cringe every time she opened her mouth to speak. So this is what having a friend feels like, huh? Cathedra thought to herself. One lunch break, while waiting for Diane underneath the tree, Cathedra was scribbling a draft of her first novel in her notebook. The novel contained the scenes she saw in the storybook, back in her kindergarten days. Since that day at kindergarten, she didn't tell anyone what she saw in the storybooks anymore. The thought of seeing things that other people couldn't still terrified her but she tried hard not to think about it by avoiding any book she can see other than school books and textbooks.

"Then write this: They lived." The Draft shadows let out a unified shriek of "continuity error" and dissolved into black puddles. But as the light from the book intensified, a new line appeared at the bottom of the page, written in a handwriting I didn't recognize. It wasn't the Author's Calibri font. It was elegant, handwritten, and ancient. 'The price of a new ending is the beginning. See you in the Wastes, Iris.' The Archive exploded in a flash of blue light.

Without giving a response, he reached for his bag- a small brown leather bag that was placed close to him on the floor. “Here,” it was a novel, and that made her gaze narrow on it, then slowly, their eyes locked. She hesitated, staring at it longer than expected, but after his hand fidgeted due to staying in an uncomfortable position for long, she reached for it. “It should help,” it was Damon's baritone voice. “Hope in the dark?” She asked, with her eyes fixed on the novel and a hint of confusion playing in her eyes. “By Rebecca Salnit, yes,” he completed, and a sip of the coffee followed. “You should try it out.”

Only if Xavier would leave me be much more happy. I was lying on the couch reading a novel. Thorn of glass. One of my favourite series. Just then I heard someone coming in the room. "You know you have kept that beautiful face shoved in that novel for whole day now. It was supposed to be a holiday! We need to go in the lawn and have fun!! Not read.." Andrew said and it made me giggle. "Well reading is my hobby." I said. "And Andrew is the opposite." Issac came with the others and they all started laughing.
