With that said, I intend to go over the manuscript and create a more detailed outline that will combine the story as I had originally wanted it to be but will be more focused and better organised, it will better detail the prophecies and continue into the next generation so that we may see the fullfillment of the prophecies. I do not know when I will get around to this as I have a lot on my plate, but it is something I will be starting to look at as soon as I have a few works in progress completed, or near completion. I have many ideas that I would like to better flesh out so that the work flows better and goes off the rails less. Thank you.

My fingers were cramping, my thesaurus was smoking, and I kept picturing my editor sending me an email with only one word: "Seriously?" I realized: I should just end it here, gloriously, before I completely lose my mind, break my keyboard, and start writing about the wallpaper pattern instead. Speaking of losing my mind... I pulled out my notes the other day. When I started outlining this story and figuring out the twists and turns, I came up with almost 60... maybe 50-something... different plot points and outlines just to keep the momentum going. Sixty! Fifty! I lost count! That's how dedicated I was to not making this story boring. That’s like a novella’s worth of rejected ideas!

"Ahh! Yeah, I remember how's your novel going on? Are you planning to put it as an entry for this coming International Contest?" I took my laptop, open it and handed it to her. " Look, it's kind of plain right now. I don't have any inspiration at the moment." She took my laptop and read my outline and prologue. She's such a kind and hardworking editor who always understands me. Throughout writing this novel, I learned a lot about writing techniques and honing my writing style. I've learnt to ask myself if this chapter is good or bad, or if this story provides different topics and knowledge to readers because I'm not just writing this for fun; rather, I want readers to feel the thrill and get knowledge from my novel at the same time. I even found myself not sticking to the outline I created for this book, which other writers I met told me that was completely normal.

My thinking is that I add an authors note a the end of 'book' 1 so to speak and re-write the synopsis to advise any new readers that it will be 2 books in one. Alternatively, the other idea I had was to just have a longer book, but I don't want the length to scare off new readers. Thanks in advance! :)
